Red Friday

OWH Red Friday Bloghop

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Red Friday Bloghop! If you want to start at the beginning of the hop click HERE . We’re turning “Black Friday” into “Red Friday” by supporting our nation’s heroes!

IMG_1441

There are so many snowmen and snowwomen out here but, I have to say that these take the cake from Paper Smooches called, “Cool Dudes”. They even have a matching die cut here. The background is watercolored and die cut with this ornament Spellbinder die. The embellishments are die cuts cut from watercolored backgrounds. Love this stitched heart and the snowflake from Simon Says Stamp.

After I colored with Copic markers and layered up my card I gave Hero Arts white spay ink a good shake and spray to give me a winter wonderland. Here’s a video with the white spray.  Here’s an ornament card video.

Operation Write Home is a charity that sends blank handmade cards to service members deployed overseas. OWH has sent nearly 3 million cards but, the months of November to February are slow for OWH.  If you happen to have one card or a handful of cards in your stash they will keep our heroes busy writing home during a long winter away from their home. Please read the information on the Stars and Stamps post before you send in a card so you know the specifics 🙂 for example, no Christmas cards, no glitter, A2, etc. – Help make a hero’s day by giving them a beautiful creation to write home on!

What’s a bloghop without prizes? See the Stars and Stamps post for the full list of goodies by the bloghop sponsors – and go link up YOUR love themed card there, too! There are lots of ways to “win” the prizes  by leaving a comment or sharing your card .

The next stop on the hop is…. Kristie Marcotte, The Best Things in Life are Pink blog. POP BACK if you are new to my blog lots of OTHER GIVEAWAYS. This huge one and this Simon Card Kit. Grateful for your visit today and always. Hugs, Kathy
