Day 5. & 6. Plus Giveaway

Hello Friends, How is your week going? Update on the late posts … the problem has been identified and now I need someone to help me fix it hopefully by next week. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

For my post today I am combining Day 4 & Day 5. I was up really later coloring and was to tired to post on the blog. Even tho my motto is five minutes a day sometimes it’s hard to stop. I would guess many of you have the same problem lol.

Sandy Boone is a friend of mine and she’s an amazing colorist! Sandy has a small Etsy shop where you can purchase her stamps. (giveaway at the bottom) I had such fun combining several of her stamp sets to create this scene. Fussy cutting it was pretty easy and added vellum to create a window look. Also added velum for steam coming from the coffee. The coloring was totally inspired by Sandy.


For this card I used a two of Sandy’s stamp sets. I was having a such a good time with this one too. It was to much work to make the lady sit inside the cart so I tipped her upside down to create a headless mannequin hahah. I used some copic blending solution on the background with a rag.

Love this “Futz” stamp set. I have FOUR OF THESE TO GIVEAWAY! To qualify all you need to do is say yes or no in the comment area. Yes if you futz or no if you don’t futz!! I will announce the winners at the end of the challenge.

    LOL “YES!” I LOVE your first image & the creative way you added the vellum, Kathy! GORGEOUS COLORING!!! AND your second image, I HAVE wanted to do this! In one store in particular, I find the outfits on the dummies, but NOT on the floor! LOL 😉 SUPER COLORING, Kathy!!! AND SO CREATIVE!!!!!!!! 😉

    BIG TIME “YES” and on a side note, love how you made her a mannequin, I collect them, we have them all thru out our house, including one in a bikini by the pool, a cowgirl in my husbands man cave#2 and I have 2 of them that hang out on top of pink school lockers in my scrapbook room with me. Just a fun, oops no I guess weird or unique fact about me, lol. 🙂

    Yes, I futz with my cards and art projects but I detest futzing with my hair–it’s naturally curly/wavy, on a humid day, the more I futz the worse it looks!

    Thanks for sharing your awesome coloring with us, love these new stamps you’re using. I haven’t started coloring, managed to catch a bad cold when returning from vacation, so I don’t want to contaminate my art supplies, I’m constantly coughing, sneezing or blowing my nose–uggh! I need to make Valentine cards, I send them off to elderly relatives but I don’t want to share my cold germs.

    Gorgeous cards Kathy and I had to translate the word Futz first in to Dutch. I had never heard of it. If I ever futz I don’t know, perhaps, I think everyone one a time does it.

    Hope so for you that all the problems are solved and that you only have to colour.
    I am the same, when I am colouring I lost every track of time LOL, five min. become ten and ten become fiveteen.

      I’m pretty sure “futz” is slang and perhaps not an official word, but Henriette, you are probably correct in saying that we all probably do it 🙂

    Yes of course lol, I can never leave anything alone and it drives my hubby crazy. I hate to say it sometimes keeps my cards from getting out on time. I know bad right. Love these cards Kathy and yes I can’t stop at 5 minutes either.

    Haha, I totally FUTZ sometimes! I also understand not stopping at five minutes of colouring… I don’t like leaving something half-finished if I’m on a colouring roll. What if the muse has fled when I go back? Your colouring, as always, is fantabulous.

I have up to Day 5 loaded on FB. Day 6 is done but I am waiting on my friends since we all colored the same image and we are waiting for our little “reveal” day. 🙂

    Oh, yes! Things are often to futzy for me! And for some weird reason, it’s often used in conjunction with piddlefart in our family…. Stop futzing and piddlefarting around and get to work! (Piddlefart… to wast time doing nothing) Hahaha!
    That Retail Therapy is a hoot and I love how you did the background! So nice to hear that time gets away from you, too! (she’s human!!!) : )

    Ahhh I used to be a futzer but as I got into my fifties and now 60, I no longer futz LOL ….

    Omg. Yes I futzing futz!! I am so glad I made it over here today! These are so fun and such wonderful creations! Love how you put them together! Hoping to play along soon. I’ve been coloring. Just haven’t been able to post about it. Lol! After Friday I should free up a bit and Saturday I’ll be coloring with J-dove. Lol! So I’ll post them for sure. Now I gotta go check out that Etsy shop!!

    YES!!!! I futz! I have to, it’s not a choice really, it’s a must, an inner driven reality that I’m chained to. Just keepin’ it real. Love this made into a stamp and these stamps are so fun.
    I have also rode the shopping cart, which does not always work out well. LOL.

    Yes! Yes! Yes! I didn’t know there was an actual word for that issue lol let alone a stamp set ! I have rendered quite a few things useless because I want it to be absolutely perfect and well it never seems to work that way for me! I’m not part of the coloring challenge but I am following along!
