Day 15. lines and circles

challenge_graphic-4-650

Hello Friends, How’s it going? Today I dare you to try turning your doodles into something.

IMG_3779

Use a lot of lines, circles and some loops are you will be surprised what you might come up with.  Using some sharpies and something like this super fine tip marker and it’s really easy…just don’t think about what you are doing. This “Hugs” was perfect to add that little extra to my card base.

IMG_3716

This is how my doodle started out…. kind of ugly right? that’s ok I agree!

IMG_3717

You fine tune it and round out your circles etc.

IMG_3777

Use the fine tip marker & some thicker markers to add some more lines and circles.

IMG_3778

It’s always good to leave your doodle and come back to it to add a little more. Add some color if you want. I used some bic markers for this. I did take a lot of photos along the way if you want me to share a flipagram showing you the process. Let me know in the comment area.

Raise your hand if you are taking OnLine Card Classes “Stretch Your Dies” class? There is still time to sign up 🙂

Off to bed see ya’ all’ tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Thanks for sharing this awesome challenge, Kathy! I have tried zentangle before but I have been intimidated to further my exploration. I guess I am too linear when I draw/sketch… give me straight lines or an image and I am typically good but give me a blank canvas/piece of paper and I cringe… Can you please give us a Flipagram? I feel it will help me better visualize and lose my fear of doodling (although I doodle when I don’t think about it. 😉

    Thanks again!

I haven’t done any doodling in years, but you make it look so easy … and awesome at the same time. I loved how my circles and shapes came out, so I guess I will have to try this too. I’m not taking the current OCC class, since I’m trying to revisit the Copics class while I colour along with you. There’s still so many things to try from all of the previous classes I have taken.

Hi Kathy, *raising hand high* I too am taking the Stretch Your Dies and even took up the offer for the A Cut Above class. Enjoying it so much. I love your ‘ZIA’/doodle card, especially the little flowers you drew – it breaks up the solid black lines. Last year i sent out a christma s card using one of my ’tiles’ – stuck it onto a card base and used a little bling on it to make it look christmassy – my friend loved it because it was handmade.

Would love to see a Flipgram! I already posted my card for today but may give this a try either tomorrow or later this week! My doodles might scare you though! LOL I think I will have to get my paper and pens out and make a phone call to a friend I haven’t spoken to for a while. I do my best doodling when I am on the phone and not thinking about what I am doing.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

I loved this! I didn’t do anything this intricate when I designed my sisters plain, boring, laundry bag that I bought her for Christmas but I did do Zentangle. The problem is the laundry bag ripped already and not at the seam! She’s mad and so am I.
I loved what you did! It’s so intricate but it’s not. That’s what I did in my high school art classes and that’s what my art teacher loved. I was never good at still life’s or faces but this stuff, I was so good at! Thanks for showing us! I can’t wait to see how you did it when you show the whole process.

I’m raising my hand, I am loving the stretch your die class, but it hard to keep up. They are on day 7 and I am catching up on day 4. It takes so much time if you don’t have the same dies to look through them all to find something that would work. I feel like I’m behind in life because I am trying to keep up with your challenge and the class and just not fast enough. Loving your days of coloring and tangling. Thanks again for being here for us.
