Day 7. $500. Cash Raffle Plus for No Kid Hungry + Video

Hello Friends, It’s Day 7. of the 10 Day Coloring Challenge. How are you doing? Remember that sweet girl I posted yesterday? Well she’s all finished and I have a video for you showing you how to color/paint what I call helmet hair.

Here is photo of the finished project. Click here to see yesterday’s post.

In the meantime I have been working on this raffle for a few months and I am so excited to announce it today.

DO YOU SEE THE $500. of cash tucked into the apron pockets? That is right I am giving away $500.00 cash plus a handmade ceramic palette from Sylvan Clay Works (that is extremely hard to get) and this awesome limited edition apron from Hedley & Bennett.

Why another fundraiser … because the need for food is important to our children’s health and well being! Life’s basic necessity! I personally love food, enjoy cooking and I am often wondering what my next meal will be. I am very lucky and I thank my lucky stars daily but, being grateful isn’t enough. I have to put myself out there to raise money because the need for food for children is that great!

Did you know that or every dollar can feed 10 meals for hungry kids in America. TEN meals for $1.00 isn’t that awesome!

Donating sometimes can take some encouragement especially when life isn’t like it used to be. That’s why I thought a raffle would be a nice incentive to raise money to do my tiny little part to help end Childhood Hunger in America.

If money is really tight (I am sorry) there is another way to help. Can you share this fundraiser on FB or Instagram? I love that saying “Sharing is Caring” and doing small acts can really benefit so many children. I am giving away a huge goodie bag as an incentive.

Check out the raffle page here. If you have Paypal set up it’s really easy to make a donation. I know it’s a bit of a pain but, thank YOU for taking those precious minutes to help kids!

If you are working and your employer has a matching gift program that’s pretty awesome .When you get the thank you for donating email there is a clickable link for the employer share program!

HERE ARE THE DETAILS:

HOW MANY WINNERS WILL BE CHOSEN: There will be one winner for the $500.00 cash raffle and one winner for donations over $50.00

* Any donations over $50.00 will go into an extra raffle for a huge goodie bag full of stamps, die cuts & a surprise.*

HOW DO I QUALIFY: Make a direct donation of $10.00 or more to No Kid Hungry by clicking here.  The donation amount can be anonymous if that makes you more comfortable and all donations are tax deductible.

WHAT’S THE CHARITY: No Kid Hungry I CREATED A FUNDRAISING PAGE . Keep in mind that every little bit helps!

ONE EXCEPTION:  IF YOU SHARE ABOUT THIS RAFFLE leave a comment here on my blog and you will be entered for a goodie bag. Add your name in the blog comment telling me where you shared the raffle info. Thank YOU so very much!

WINNERS: The winners will be randomly drawn from the donation page AND my blog comment area in case you shared the giveaway.

Contest ends May 18th. Winners will be announced & notified May 20th. Good luck!

This is what No Kids Hungry said, “Here are some FACTS ABOUT CHILDHOOD HUNGER IN AMERICA America’s kids need us. Millions of vulnerable children are losing the healthy meals they depend on as the coronavirus closes schools nationwide. No Kid Hungry has a plan to feed them, they we need our help.

Before this crisis, millions of hungry kids relied on school for food. For many, it was the only food they might get on a given day.

With many classrooms closed, schools and local nonprofits are struggling to reach kids with the meals they need. And with many parents out of work, more children in the United States may be facing hunger than ever before.”

No Kids Hungry worked with states and the USDA to develop a map to help families easily find free meals for their kids. Just enter your zip code, and we’ll show you the school meals sites, food banks and more serving food near you.

See you tomorrow and I always am so grateful for your visit. Hugs, Kathy

P.S.  There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend  FaceBook or Instagram. On Instagram it’s about community, connecting & a great place to share what you are coloring. Tag me,Kathy and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Children   #thedailymarker30daykids. The 3rd way is share what you are coloring is to link up to my blog . It will always be on the first day …. DAY 1.
