I am super delighted to be celebrating with Waffle Flower and their new April new release blog hop! Such inspiring stamps plus fun and happy too. Speaking of fun how about some fun facts?!!

Starting with this release, Waffle Flower will have monthly releases on every 5th of the month! Woot!! … and …there is a new stamp set size: 5×7 that retails for $20! The packaging and the envelopes are super awesome!
This flower set called, ‘Bouquet Builder 1″ makes me giddy. Sooo serious!! I can’t wait to order the matching die cut. No dies no problem. I love making one layer cards and it was fun to watch this one come together. I love the part when you pull the masking paper off and your masked images come to life.
I used a warm and cool grey copic markers to add some shading. Sooo fun! I also added some triangles on a few stems to resemble thorns with a sharpie marker. Some eyelash lines were added to the other stems with this refillable super fine tip marker … you know how sometimes stems are fuzzy?
These kinda cards I LOVE to create…. a dark background with a pop of color and then some heavyweight vellum on top to soften the background. Since I don’t have the die cut I spent a little time fussy cutting the leaves.
I changed one of the stems so it was straight … easier to make my small bouquet.
Coloring the twine with a marker was the final detail. Below is a quick video of how this came together. We have been traveling and it’s been crazy so just couldn’t do a normal video. So sorry.
Making shaped cards is fun and I think it’s fun for the recipient too. This stamp just makes you smile … it’s called, “Picture Perfect” and it’s precious!
It’s to dark to prop my shaped card up to show you from an angle. Soo many gloomy days here. I decided to leave the area where the sentiment is blank so I can adapt the card when I need it or just leave it blank .. that’s ok too.
Monkey are perfect to add little lashes with this super fine tip marker. You might also notice that I love to add blush, eyeshadow & a necklace too lol.
I love adding a pop of twine and the tail is the perfect little spot. To cut around the tail I cut it apart to make it easy and so I could add twine. Then I glued it together after adding the twine that I colored with a marker. (see the red arrow.. that’s pointing to where I made the cut)I popped the red flower cause I thought she needed something brighter.

What a fabulous selection of cards using this release. I love the card with with leaves on it where you have used Vellum between the background and the front image.
