Day 6. Coloring On The Airplane

Hello Friends, Happy Friday to you! The plane ride to AZ is fairly long and it’s pretty great to be able to sit & color for a few hours without any disruptions or guilt. Space was tight but, I was determined to get some coloring time in. This is a hot off the press stamp that’s new from Concord & 9th and it’s such a knockout! I love everything about it!!

*Tune into the Concord & 9th blog to find out when this exquisite stamp will be available. Since it’s brand new I am thinking you might have to wait a little bit**

I packed up some Tombow markers & watercolored this on the airplane.

This is how it looked before I sharped up the lines with some fine tip markers and filled n the nooks and crannies.

Just a quick share and quick post today. Thanks for being you ! Hugs, Kathy

(Sigh)…those are my favorite types of images to color! I bet the time just flew by. Sorry about the pun. I typed it before I thought about it, started to look for a better word, but decided to leave it! Have a great time and enjoy the warmth!

WOW! Gorgeous! Did you totally use the Tombo markers or do the airlines allow the water barrel brushes?

    • Kathy Racoosin says

      January 27, 2018 at 11:24 am

I didn’t have any trouble having a water brush on the airplane!!! I’m not sure the rules or regulations but I got through no problem! I did use mostly the Tom bows and very little water, however. Thank you for your sweet words, Lagene!

That is SO pretty. And to think you did that on a little airplane table with probably not the best lighting! I’ll bet your seatmates were impressed!

Oh WOW!! This is amazing!! I do not think I would ever be able to paint on an airplane!!! I did bring my colored pencils on my last vacation and the little girl next to me used them, not me. Thank you for the amazing inspiration!

Really wonderful. Long flight but oh the destination…. so jealous. Michigan is going to get to 46 today with sunshine, so I won’t complain. I am glad for the sun. Funeral for a dear friend so my heart is heavy. Hope you have a great Creativation and learn things!

Your card is what it says Wonderful!
I finished my card and shared it here on the blog.
Although it wend a whole different card then I had in mind, I am very pleased with the result. And after I let go the thought that it would be a watercolour image, I enjoyed colouring it very much. Thanks for your inspiration.

I love how you colored this! It’s beautiful and I never would have known it was markers, I would have thought it was watercolors. I haven’t flown in years, not since all this stuff after 9/11 so I don’t know what you can and can’t bring on a plane. How did you decide what you wanted to bring and how did you do what you did on a plane? I have a big bag of markers, coloring books, colored pencils, crayons and gel pens. My water colors are somewhere else. I wouldn’t know what to take with me and then I would probably realize I didn’t take something I wanted once I got on the plane. That used to happen when the kids slept for 2 hours in preschool and I would bring my crafts to do after I ate and the kids went to sleep. I always left something home even though I thought I brought everything to school.
I love you’re coloring and I’m glad you liked the card I repurposed. I like doing that!

I try to pack lightly. Prestamped images and a coloring medium which isn’t space occupying! This is why I brought Tombow watercolor markers instead of my Copics! Less to carry and images pre-printed is my best advice if you do ever fly again, Gail!
