It’s Simon Says Stamp Diecember & Giveaway

Hello Friends!! Happy Weekend to you! I can’t believe that November is behind us and it’s December but, …. it’s not only December …. it’s  DieCember®!!!

DieCember® is that highly anticipated time of the year where Simon Says Stamp releases lots of beautiful die cuts & today is the first day of the product release blog hop .(Check the Simon Blog tomorrow for another hop with more inspiration and prizes.)

Christmas came early when I received my DieCember® goodies and I wanted to create some neutral cards to let the dies stand out and take center stage. A collection of four cards for my post today plus a video sharing a few tips on creating my cards.

First up is a vellum shaker card. A different spin on a shaker with a more subtle surprise. The “Happy BD” die is so different and fun & great for every age.

I flipped the Happy BD die cut to give my card a more graphic look. Twine was tied around the letters and popped off center on the card with some foam tape.

Don’t throw away those watercolor papers that don’t make it to a card because they are perfect to use with your die cuts. Every year Simon comes out with beautiful new snowflakes and I love the size on this one called “Big Joy“.

In my video I share how I converted this eyelet arch into a straight one to fit on my card. A little twine wrapped around the letter for an extra touch. I am loving the compact size of this “Miss You” die and the font. Such a beauty.

I love the boarders in this release … this one is called, “Corbel Curved” and it would be fun to make some folded stationary …. so simple yet elegant.

I had a leftover snowflake and I really wanted to make a crown for the cute lil penguin. What do you think? This “Picture Book Happy Penguin” makes me happy and he has two siblings!

Lots of neutrals and a pink heart for a pop of color. This “Miss You” die cut is different from the other one and I cut off the “Y and the “O” so it would fit between the love birds rather love penguins!

GIVEAWAY! YAY! Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from the blog comment areas. Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp store blog on Wednesday.
