Day 29 Again!! Postpone Day 30.& Giveaway

Hello Friends, How are you? I hope you don’t mind but, I really need to postpone Day 30 lol ….. but, seriously. For the wrap up I need to include lots of stuff and it’s 3 am plus I didn’t get to do what I planned for Day 30. I think I will have it ready for Monday or Tuesday. Today is my mom’s 80th Birthday PARTY so it’s been busy around here. (I will have a sneak of Day 30 at the bottom of my post)

This took me some time and I wanted to quit several times.

Weights is something I need to do more of so I felt like I needed this Barbella from Stamping Bella.

I have been itching to use this yummy stamp from Concord & 9th called, “Here’s The Scoop” so .. I thought hummmm! The scale of the two stamps isn’t right but, I thought it might work. The image was masked off with a post it note.

At this point it’s all markers and ta da copic blending solution  plus some marker dots. The scoops of ice cream … I switched mine up … lemon, lime and orange sorbet. A citrus trio.

Sharpie details & more 0.03 super fine marker … a must have!!  (the shading on the bowl isn’t good but, I was able to give it some interest with colored pencils.)

Once I picked up my colored pencils … finally this project was getting the color variation I was looking for.

It is true that I stick with a project 90% of the time until I am satisfied but, it’s certainly frustrating sometimes.

Here’s a sneak peek for Day 30. I hope you all don’t mind waiting & I appreciate your patience. Thank YOU!

GIVEAWAY!!  I have Concord & 9th yummy ice cream stamp to giveaway plus a goodie bag.  Winner will be announced next week. To qualify just say howdy. (thanks Concord & 9th)

Off to bed … see you soon. Hugs, Kathy

Hi Kathy!! A few more days for Day 30 always works for me as I did not want to see September end because I have had so much inspiration this month and actually enjoyed playing along when I could. So extending Day 30 by a few days is the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae! 🙂 If I had to choose ice cream or barbells, I would go for the ice cream sundae. LOL

P.S. Happy Birthday to your mom!!!

Happy birthday to your mom! Extending this by a few days… Yes go for it because I need it myself. It’s so much fun when I actually sit down to color but it’s been so stressful these past few days that I didn’t have a chance to do so. Wish I could gulp this huge sundae lol.

Well, “howdy” doesn’t begin to cover what I am thinking! Of course you need to celebrate your mom’s big day. PS: I think the scale of the ice cream is just perfect! How many times do we want to drown in a bowl exactly that size? Enjoy the party, but maybe a cereal bowl instead of a hot tub for a serving dish! Mothers’ 80th parties have no calories–it’s a basic rule of the universe. Take as much time as you need to not feel stressed about it.

Well, howdy! This is awesome, Kathy! I LOVE this card! When I was healthy, I used to lift weights and of course I love to eat ice cream. Perfect card to me! The large size bowl of ice cream is perfect, not off scale at all as far as I’m concerned! Your colouring is amazing here! It does look like it took a lot of time – so glad you stuck with it and saw it through – well worth it! I hope you have fun at your Mom’s 80th celebration!

Howdy, Kathy, and thanks for sharing this beauty (even if you aren’t satisfied with it).
I have to tell you a funny story about my 50th and then my Mom’s 80th only four months later. For my 50th, my Mom had 3 of her grandkids bring out a small fire extinguisher to help me blow out my candles. haha Yeah. So funny. Not! Well, for her 80th, I found enough fire extinguishers for all NINE of her grandkids to help her with her candles. lol She wasn’t laughing either. Paybacks. She understood! lol Hope you had a great party!!! And no fire extinguishers. 🙂

Hi Kathy Racoosin!! You go girl!! I followed some of your posts this go around. But just did not have time to play. I did buy a sketch book and did some drawing with good intentions, ended up stamping in it too and doing some lazy coloring and water color, but just could not pull it together to share. Just got a new crafty space, plugged in one too many lamps and blew the electricity in the whole room and part of an adjoining room, everything was upside down while hubs worked it all out. Hope to be back to blogging soon. Love You!! And the 30 Day Coloring Challenge!! Thanks for sharing it and keeping the inspiration going. Happy Fall!
