Day 22. Altenew March Release Blog Hop II + Giveaway

Hello Friends, How are you today? Not only is it day 22 of the coloring challenge but, it’s an Altenew Blog Hop! I am super excited to be a part of the Altenew March Release Blog Hop ll PLUS Giveaways! Woo Hoo …. let’s get started.

To start at the beginning of the hop go to the Altenew Blog here. If you are arriving from the talented Therese Calvird blog you are in the right place.

The Altenew layering stamps are always stunning with beautiful details. This stamp set is called, “Garden Treasure” & the matching die cut…  it’s one to add to your floral collection. I love the variety of flowers in this set so I decided to create a monochromatic floral bouquet for an artistic spin. You can watch the video here.

I love to add more color to layering stamps with pencils…. it’s fun, relaxing and super easy. Stencils are an easy way to complete your background. I inked up the “Halftone Stencil” with two of Altenew’s layering inks.

PRIZES: Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to THREE lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew blog by Thursday, March 30th at 11:59pm EST for a chance to win. The winners will be announced on the Altenew blog on Friday, March 31st.

My GIVEAWAY: A  $30 gift certificate to the Altenew store. Woo hoo Thanks to Altenew. The random winner will be picked from my blog comments and announced on March 29th.

Next on the hop is the oh so creative Eunyoung Lee blog. If you encounter a broken link below is the full blog hop list at the bottom of my post.

Thank You for your visit today and if you have questions about the coloring challenge click here … It’s never to late to jump in. Thanks again! Hugs, Kathy

Totally beautiful! I especially appreciate how you were able to make a bouquet out of the flowers! I have tried that before with other stamp sets and its a lot harder than it looks! I can understand why you turned off the camera and came back when it was done!!! That was probably the most time consuming part of the project! LOL 🙂 Worth it though! Just stunning!

The pencils I used today are my Fantasia Premium Artist Coloured Pencils. These are less expensive than the pencils I normally use, but I think they work great and the cost is even better! I will link both that I use below, however.

I also often use Caran d’Ache Luminance colored pencils. I have used these every other day (during this 7th coloring challenge) that I’ve used pencils on my cards. They are much more expensive and if you want to spend the money, I highly recommend them. Which pencils I use totally depends on my mood. LOL! I recommed both. The Fantasia are great for a less expensive option. Hope this is helpful!

I can see it now — all the stamp companies who are producing the layering stamps are going to add even more layers to their sets to mimic the exquisite finishing touches you add. I don’t think the result will be as nice as yours, but they might give it a go. Love the stems (I can do that!) and all the dimension you achieve just with the extra shading and the popping up of layers. It’s truly entertaining and relaxing and educational to watch you at work/play.
