Day 15.Easter Blessings

Hello hello friends, Welcome to Day 14. Have you been hit with some of the snow …sleet …. rain? In Maryland we are getting a mix of everything. My dream weather event is for a big dump of fluffy snow and then for it all to melt the next day. 🙂

Not much natural light today so my background is not my regular one for the challenge. Love these sweet sweet stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. I combined “Easter Blessings” with “Forever Friends” for my card today. Finishing a card off with some 4mm water droplets and 6mm droplets gives your card that extra texture.

I am getting nervous my twine roll is dwindling down and I need to reorder. I colored some with a green marker & to hold the twine in place I fit it between my foam tape to tie my bow.

Even though I have been using stencils for years … it never gets old. Such a quick and easy fix for an interesting background. Today I used this bubble stencil with some lavender ink.

Have a good day and good luck with this crazy weather. See you tomorrow for another giveaway. Hugs, Kathy

Just wet with some freezing rain (gone now) this morning, making for some power outages around here and cancelling my Bible study this morning. We are south and west of Richmond, VA, generally the dividing line for every event, so we never know when to believe the forecasts! Hunker down and color! And…I want to see your bow-tieing trick. I don’t think I’ve seen it and it’s still something I have trouble with (especially the teeny tiny bow out of thin string!)

Sweet! It’s amazing how much a simple bow in a contrasting colour adds to the overall design of this almost monochromatic colour scheme.

Love this card so much, Kathy it is just adorable. Plus you can’t ever go wrong with the color purple. I have to share this with you, I finally went out of my comfort box and made one of the type cards with the slider thingy, Hubby’s birthday, he loves golf, put the art impressions guy driving the golf cart in tall grass trying to get to his birthday cupcake lol. I will try to post a picture but you just can’t get the jest of it without seeing it moving lol.

    • Kathy Racoosin says

      March 14, 2017 at 6:04 pm

Hi Diane. I just held the twine betweenj the foam tape as showed in the photo above. I then turned over the image and tied a bow on the opposite side. Hopefully that makes sense to you now! 🙂

Funny my twine is almost out also.. just ordered some few days ago. Also like the idea of coloring the twine.. Love the two images combined. Love when I see this. Gives me more ideas to not stick with one set but branch out to others to make a cuter card. I like the stencil background gives a soft interest. Sweet card as always.

Good luck with your dream snowfall. I am from eastern Canada (and now live in California) but I always thought it would be great to have snow for Christmas week into New Year’s Eve and then have it all go away! We could ski and skate all winter though if it only snowed on the mountains. Ha Ha.

When I do small bows, I make “rabbit Ears’ with the two sides and just make a bow. It works every time. Enjoy your snow days! I actually miss them – a lot.

Beautiful card and coloring Kathy! I’m so sorry your weather is so awful, here in AZ we’re having hot weather–too early for most of us residents! We’re in the 90’s, suppose to be 97 by the end of the week. I tried to go early to run errands today, even had to stop at Starbucks for an iced coffee drink to cool off! I’m in the midst of re-organizing my craft space and going out this evening, so no coloring for me today. But I did find a container that fit my distress crayons in–on my “color mediums” Raskog cart. Love that thing, so easy to wheel around where I need it. Keep warm. wish I could send you some of our sunshine and fresh lemons!

That Easter card is absolutely adorable. The children are so innocent and wholesome looking! It snowed all day here in CT yesterday and folks are still shoveling out today! Good to get a glimpse of spring with your cards!

    March 17, 2017 at 10:54 pm

We did not get any of the bad weather conditions. Where I am in AZ is in the mountains and we do get snow a few times a year. It is just about the way you describe as your dream, when we do. It snows and sometimes we can wake up to a few inches and it is melted by the afternoon. Other times, it does stay around for a few days. I don’t want to brag, but it has been in the mid 70s all werk.
