Hello Friends! How are you? Are you craving some daily coloring …. looking for an excuse to find some YOU time? It’s that time for The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge and I hope you all will join me! I don’t know about you but, I really need to color!
Can you believe that it’s been SIX years hosting these coloring challenges and this go around it’ the 20th coloring challenge. OMG how time flies! When I started the coloring challenge I had no idea that I would be doing these for 6 years. I owe that to you all for your participation, your support and your enthusiasm! Thank YOU from the bottom of my heart!

The goal of the coloring challenge is to find a little time to color, keep it super simple, zero pressure & stress free! My mantra these past 6 years was to find just 10 minutes a day for some YOU time. The icing on the cake is … this is a good way to give your coloring mediums some love and finding some self care along the way.
I hope to answer any questions you might have or give you a little refresher if you have participated before. I will share my daily coloring both on my blog and on Instagram. (Sorry not Facebook this time)
** If you post on Instagram and your account is private I won’t be able to see what you are coloring and nobody from the community will be able to either (just in case you didn’t know that)**
WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THE CHALLENGE? To color something daily, even if it’s a few minutes, but certainly not required. (I know that I am happier when I am coloring even if it’s for 10 minutes.) It’s an ‘anything goes’ challenge; color whatever you feel inspired to do. Any medium of your choice including “coloring” with ink or fiber for that matter. Some days you will have more time than others but, it’s just about adding more time to color and carve out a little time for you. PLEASE DON’T FEEL like you need to finish or make a card. This is about coloring and finding a little time and it’s a lot about DE-STRESSING! (often I have colored one petal on a flower).
CAN ANYONE PARTICIPATE IN THE 30 DAY CHALLENGE? YES please! If you want to participate you can jump in at any time during the challenge. Feel free to include your children and grandchildren. If you miss a few days don’t feel like you have to catch up. We all know life can get in the way.
HOW DO YOU SHARE WHAT YOU ARE COLORING? On Day 1 I will have a place for you to share on my blog with a link up (here is the last challenge link up if you want to have a look). Another way to share is Instagram ( more interactive than my blog). When you use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day tag me that way I hope to find what you are doing. (If your account is private I won’t be able to see your coloring.) Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.
WHAT IS A GOODWILL AMBASSADOR? Each challenge a group of people are chosen that was very active during during the previous challenge. They will be helping me spread love on Instagram. The challenge is about coloring & community, spreading kindness & support for each other. I will be announcing the goodwill ambassadors tomorrow!

Yay!! I have tried with minimal success to participate in past challenges but am going to set myself up for success this time by stamping out a bunch of things that will just need coloring. Much more likely to color if it’s already stamped, rather than sit at my desk with a blank brain trying to figure out what to do. Thanks for the inspo! Hoping to be able to link up on your blog, as I’m no longer on any social media sites (thanks to Covid and anxiety – life is better without them!!).
Can’t wait .. I’ve spent the last week stamping out some images to colour!!!
