Hello Friends! Woo Hoo it’s Day 1. of The Daily Marker Coloring Challenge. I mentioned yesterday instead of 30 days this challenge will be only 10 days. Some of you have been with me since the very first 30 Day Coloring Challenge or close to that … whatever this challenge is for you I am grateful you keep coming back! If you are keeping count this is the 19th challenge. With that said anytime you have taken the challenge I am proud of you for coloring more than normal.
If you are new to the challenge or have been on the fence before and are jumping in for the first time so proud of you for taking this leap!! Let the joys of coloring reduce your stress, lower your blood pressure and or bring you some joy!

Today I am talking about creative play and bringing back the joy of coloring. My hope is that you don’t stress out what to color, or what stamp to use! Please don’t feel like you need to finish a card or your coloring for that matter. Most often my projects take many days to complete.
Can you believe I even made a video for you guys. I hope you have the time to watch it. If so a thumbs up is always appreciated.
For Day 1. I try to think out of the box and do something different and often I spend more time than usual. After today it will be business as usual. Less time to complete a project and I am ok with that.
I took the time to finish my card panel because I just had to see it finished. Gina from Gina K. Designs I think will be using this technique in her live on Thursday. Gina K. Designs Water Droplets stencil is a favorite of mine and it was so fun to create this card.
Simon Says Stamp Big Hello Die cut it’s an oldie but, a goodie. I glued four pieces of scrap watercolor paper together, colored twine and walla done!

Since this is Day 1. It’s a tradition to mention something that I think is very important and I like to mention it every challenge … our posture! When coloring take pause and think if you can lift your gaze and straighten you back. Using a clipboard helps you prop up your project so you aren’t bending over (you can prop the clipboard on a stack of books).
There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend FaceBook or Instagram. On Instagram it’s about community, connecting & a great place to share what you are coloring. Tag me,Kathy and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Children #thedailymarker30daykids. The 3rd way is share what you are coloring is to link up to my blog . It will always be on todays post…DAY 1. each day I will link you back on this post to share you coloring.

I have been wanting to join the 30day challenge but don’t have the know-how to start. I’m not a computer person but can follow simple instructions. In this form says “Website”! What is it? I would like to know also the brushes and paper you are using. Thank you!
Hi Gillie, so happy you will be joining and sorry I have caused some confusion. On the form some people have a website that they can fill in and add their web site. Just ignore that 😉
The paper I am using is Arches cold press watercolor paper (140lb) the brushes are Escota. So happy you are coloring and taking the challenge. 🙂
What do you mean by watercolor crayons? I don’t see that in the Altenew store.

I love the stencil you used and your coloring is always so lovely.
Now, don’t beat me with a wet noodle, but you asked how we like the new logo. I prefer the old one better but understand you couldn’t get a hold of the person who created the other one.
