geometrics and winner announced

kathy racoosin simon says stamp #2 1.2014 copy
Hello Friends, How are you today? I wanted to say thanks for sharing your thoughts on New Year Resolutions (in this post). Many of you make resolutions and many of you don’t. I wish I could do a recap because I loved reading them all and it would be nice to see them condensed.  Instead I bring you a card and a butterfly from my “Pieces of Me” butterfly series. Simon Says Stamp just released this new stamp set called, “Artful Boarders”. The possibilities are endless when you have geometric patterns for masculine or feminine cards.
Here is an update on my pin board with all of the butterflies. Slowly they will all be stamped and colored as I make cards.

As most of you know that I LOVE to color and I travel with my markers 90% of the time. During the holiday break I colored inside the circles. My ink was dry (I failed to bring this) but, I liked the look of the washed out black. I went over some of the circles for fun. One section was cut out and popped on my card. I shared this photo of Instagram but, thought I would here too so you can see how I roll when traveling with markers.
Did you happen to see the flower card that’s in this photo? You can see it here.
I wanted to show you the butterfly up close because as you see …. you can have some fun with geometric patterns. I added some dots on the inside of the circles & traced over the white dots with a fine tip black marker. For a quick card just stamp on a butterfly and put on a card. Easy breezy 🙂
The winner of this blog candy is Cheryl W. A big congrats to you Cheryl! I’m pretty sure you saw my giveaway in the last post  for the Hero Arts Blog Hop? If not check it out here. THANKS for taking time to visit today and wishing you all the best. Hugs, Kathy
