Day 11. Giveaway and Coloring

IMG_0795

Hello friends. I can’t believe it’s Day 11 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Time flies when you’re having fun! Speaking of fun, Paper Smooches is celebrating their birthday! HAPPY Birthday Paper Smooches!! I thought some fruity cocktails were in order to celebrate…

IMG_1176

Every time I see a Paper Smooches stamp I smile. Love the simplicity of the stamps and how you can “dress them up” or keep it simple. Today I stamped the large flower image from the Summer Lovin’ Stamp Set repeatedly to create the background. I used the just released, Free Spirit Stamp Set to create the tropical drinks and sentiment. These stamp sets paired nicely together to create the tropical feel I was going for.

IMG_1175

Lots of marker dots on the drinks to try and give them that realistic look. A large strip of vellum to soften the bright background I colored.

In case you want the colors 🙂

Great card and dittos on the hibiscus flower and living in Florida.

Paper Smooches, another great company. I just received one of their Love word dies and one of their flatware die sets and they are really fun to use. Played with them all day the day they arrived in my mailbox.

Well, I’m off to have a root canal done this morning….ugh…if it’s not one thing, it’s another.

You have a great day and thanks for all the time you devote to this challenge.

    Kathy,

I am sorry I uavent been participating in this round. I was so excited (as you know from my IG feed) about it coming up, and then just before we started I had to put my kitty to sleep. I have been a real mess and my eyes are both infected, making it very difficult to color or craft. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and in addition to medication for the infection, I need glasses for up close work now. Don’t know how I am going to afford those, but anyway.. . Wanted to explain my absence and to let you know I hope to be better when you do the next challenge.

    Love,
    Maureen

I went to Hawaii in 1980 and I remember the Plumeria and the fruity drinks. We had a ball and my parents paid for the trip. All we had to do was pay for souvenirs and a few meals. Your card brought back so many memories. You’re coloring is beautiful as usual. Makes me wish winter was over. We are having below 0 temps with the wind. It might get down as cold as -23! Hawaii would be so nice right now!
I did some coloring today at 2 doctor’s appointments for mom. I finished a Valentine’s card for my nephew and forgot to scan it so everyone could see it. I’m doing one for my mom & dad. That one I will scan since it’s staying at my house and it doesn’t have to be mailed out like my nephews. I mailed my niece’s card and some goodies for her today. I know she will love them.
