giveaway …. september card kit

Hello Friends!! How are you today?? It’s always a fun day when I have one of Simon Says Stamp Card Kits to GIVEAWAY!! Thank You Simon!

TODAY I AM GIVING AWAY THE SEPTEMBER CARD KIT. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS LEAVE ME A COMMENT LETTING ME KNOW IF YOU LIKE GLITTER…OR JUST SAY HI 🙂
(I will pick a random winner on the 29th at midnight & post the winner on the 30th.)

Did you join in the blog hop for the September Card Kit??  I created several cards for the hop but, this time I wanted to make a masquline card. I also needed to use more of Tim Holtz’s distress glitter & Kelly Purkey’s die AGAIN called “Triangles” and oh the possibilities!

Did you happen to notice that ONLY ONE of the triangles on the card is glittered with Peacock Feathers? The other two glitter colors are this & this.

It’s super fast when using Glossy Accents on your die before adding the Distress Glitter. Shake off excess and set aside to dry.

Your can get  more mileage from your die cuts by using them on an edge as I did here. Trim with black card stock to highlight the fun edge. The sentiment was stamped with the “Life is a Journey” that’s included in the card kit. That’s it for today and please remember I am always grateful for your visit. Shoot me an email if you have questions. Hugs, Kathy
P.S. If you don’t have a blog please LEAVE YOUR EMAIL so I can contact you if you win.

Your projects are always so unique! I love the die cut off the edge and then outlined in black!

Yes, glitter is OK but I seldom use it. I make a lot of cards for Operation Write Home (they provide blank cards for soldiers in remote assignments to write home on). Glitter is a strict no-no because it could migrate to them and be picked up by enemy night vision tools.

Glitter is my new obsession, it works better with a Glossy Accents type of product, less mess. I had been crafting cards earlier and while watching TV with hubby I started to giggle he had glitter on his cheek. Now how did that get there? Thanks for sharing your creations.

I am dying to get my hands on the new Distress Glitter! I loooove all the Distress products and techniques and love how you incorporated some of that into your card. I can’t wait to try out your suggestions and ideas. And I did indeed notice the triangle you singled out from the others with a different color. LOL. I have done something similar in a few of my own Zentangle art pieces. Cheers to you! (Hope I win. As per your request, my email address is acfranks@bellsouth.net.) Hopping along…. 🙂

Here’s the thing, Kathy. I like glitter if other crafters use it and in moderation. The only glitter I use is glittered paper once in a great while or Stickles. The real stuff is too labor intensive and messy for me. (Did you want this much of a rant when you ask this?) sorry! he he.
