purple onion & simon says day two

Hello Friends, Welcome to my second day featuring Purple Onion Stamps. You can see day one here. I just love the illustrator, Stacy Yacula at Purple Onion and paring with this phone die cut you can really make some fun and oh so cute cards.
The “Sunshine” die cut from Simon Says was the perfect way to stoke the flames by paper piecing for a quick background on to this mini card. (hows that for a run on sentence..ha) The paper is from BasicGrey and the “Tilted Banner” is from Simon Says. The sentiment I created on my computer.

One of my favorite things is creating scenes on cards like I did on this one. All of the fun elements are separate stamps. Turning the canoe into a house boat padding down the stream was super fun as it came together. Throw in a few gold fish for dinner and you are set.

The “Moroccan” stencil was used on the background with Tumbled Glass. The house was colored with one Copic marker first, then I added shading with Distress Markers. Glossy Accents on the windows and a dab of Enamel Accents for the door handle.

These trees are one stamp and I cut them apart to add to my cards today and on Day One. Tell me if the photo descriptions were helpful. The big tip on the hills is to use this blending solution. Many thanks for your visit today. See you soon. Hugs, Kathy

Great cards, Kathy! I have 2 questions: how did you use the blending solution? I didn’t understand the photo of the blending solution. Was that a piece of foam? Also, was the campfire a Purple Onion stamp? It wasn’t listed on your materials.

    Love your work!
