Today I encourage you to get out your circle die cuts and cut a window. It’s less coloring but, more drama. Clearly Besotted always delights me with their simplistic beautiful flowers. I love this one called, “Winter Blooms”
Always stamp one extra to pop onto the front of your card.
A white colored pencil was used to add softer highlights to the petals. The sentiment was stamped in black and grey.
Honestly this was some simple coloring only two colors per flower.
It’s been some time since I colored my own cardstock. Use the chisel end of the marker to add some color. I colored the twine with a blue copic marker and tied it around my flower, added some foam tape and presto I was finished.

Your card is wonderful. I have done a few window cards with ovals but I want to try the technique you showed us . I have the circles. If i don’t have appropriate stamps I guess I could just draw something, LOL.

Paula, Well, I’m not sure which greens I used on this card. I’ll try to do better in the future. Looking at the card I’ll make a guess G12 or G40 as the base light color with G16 and G19 on top. Any clean green will work with the flower colors. Play with some greens before you do the final leaves. Have fun, 🙂

This looks like the perfect design to start colouring with markers. Simple colouring but with a lot of effect. I actually think I could pull this one off. Now all I need to do is find the right stamp in my collection. 🙂

I’m going to give a window card a try today! Great tip on using a white colored pencil for the highlights, hadn’t thought of that! I’m having a great time with the challenge – I aim to color every.single.day. !!!

Very lovely and bright! I just IG you my “soft” take on a vase of flowers, hope you like! I’m into “soft” the last couple of days, who knows why! Maybe because it’s so hot 112 the last two days!

Gorgeous! Oddly enough, the card I am working on today does have a cutout window, but it has washi tape for a background. I hope to get it done in time to post for today’s challenge. 🙂

Love this card. I have never tried this but want to! Got home too late tonight to be creative. Going to bed early so I can rest up and get my creative juices flowing and maybe still have enough energy to be crafty when I get off work tomorrow! I will do this technique!

Gorgeous flowers, both the stamp and the coloring. Like the circle window cutout…something just a bit different. Have been having so much fun coloring. Even if today’s took an unexpected turn…just walked away to see if tomorrow brings a new idea. Ever have your things take on a mind of their own? Still fun to play with color.
Rufus, Coloring should put you into a mind zoom mood and the image speaks to you. That’s when you know you are truly relaxed and doing something for yourself. Keep the ZEN. 🙂

wow this card is beautiful, love the flowers and colouring your own background sheet- very clever I can’t remember the last time I thought to do that. I don’t know how you manage it Kathy but your whit dots look so perfect, different sizes and so bright white. I add white to mine and the copic colour seems to seep into the white. Cant work out how to fix this. wish I could use the round die cuts but at my parent so will have to wait till I get home again.
Aileen, A suggestion maybe try a second coat on your dots or warm up your pen on your hand after a series of dots and go to the next series all warmed up. I hope this helps. 🙂
