      Marissa,
You are right. Blending solution makes really cool textures depending what you dab it with. This time it was my nubby rag but you could use an old washcloth if you wanted more texture. Have fun experimenting. 🙂

    • Kathy Racoosin says

      June 12, 2015 at 12:47 pm

      Lai-Yoke,
Distress ink markers will not give you the same vibrancy, blending or layering of colors. They don’t move as fluidly as other markers. Have fun and find time for you. 🙂

Play whenever you can. No shame here. This challenge is for you to do something fun for you. Yes, I did use blending solution for the grass. You can purchase a O refill if you don’t want to invest in the bigger bottle. There are many textures you can create with the O blending solution. 🙂

      Dotty,
Please try a scene. A scene tells a story. Lay out your stamps that you think you want to use and play arranging them. Then stamp layout onto scrap paper and make any adjustments before you stamp on good paper. 🙂

Oh Kathy! I love the way you color critters. These are just too cute. This coloring challenge is really paying off for me. I’m so grateful to have you and all of the people participating. i’m working on watercolor backgrounds. They are coming up to the “it wont go in the trash category” lol. I love the colors you use and how forgiving you are about all of us. you are really helping me not to put so much pressure on myself. I really think it was stifling my learning and creativity. Thanks for all of the wonderful examples. I will miss this when it is over. Color on!

Ah what a sweetie, the raccoon is simply adorable and as we don’t have many at home I wouldn’t have thought of buying a stamp like this but certainly would enjoy using it if I was lucky enough to receive one x

I think that’s a great idea to combine two stamps! I will be looking thru my stash to see what I can come up with. I love the colors you chose. Although I don’t want to think about Halloween just yet, your card is really adorable!! Thanks for sharing!

Racoons get such a bad rap! They are just hungry little fluffballs 🙂 I am a former volunteer for the Toronto Wildlife Center, so seeing this brought back happy memories! Good luck to all 🙂 Such a lovely card.
