It’s a wrap with video

IMG_4257

Hello Friends, How are you today? You know that feeling that you get after the holidays? You have more time for the whatever but, have that let down feeling? That’s how I am feeling right now because the 30 day challenge is over. But, each year there is another holiday and there will be another 30 day challenge.

I wanted to do a wrap up video just to refresh some of the tips that I shared with you during the challenge. To watch the video in HD or larger click here.

I hope you all will want to circle the date on your calendar or planner. JUNE 1ST will be the second 30 day color challenge. It will be called #thedailymarker30day2.

IMG_4258

The end of May we will start getting our supplies organized and I will remind you again.

To wrap up the 30 days I thought it might be fun to see all 30 projects for the 30 day challenge.  If you are NOT on Instagram you can see all of the creativity here to see what others are up to.  We can keep the sharing going on this hashtag #thedailymarkercolor2day until the next challenge if you are interested.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for making the last 30 days a memorable one and thanks from the bottom of my heart. Have a great weekend!  Hugs, Kathy

Forgot to add that since Day 25 when you showed the technique where you used the Copic Various Ink Blender fluid, to blend the trio of colors and added texture at the same time, I have been trying to figure out how to get some of it without paying $20 for a bottle of it. Tonight as I was watching your wrap up video I remembered that I had a reinker for the Spectrum Noir Blender pen. I actually heard the Angels singing as I ran to my Craft Room and found it. I am going to be giving this technique a try next time I am in my Craft Room. THANK YOU! That is just one of MANY tips and techniques that I learned from you this month! Will let you know how it works out!

Maybe you could help me find my SN bottle as well LOL. I haven’t been able to find it again after we moved to our new home a few months ago. I was so disappointed when I could not find it, but I tried applying colourless blender solution to a napkin/paper towel using the chisel end of my Promarker blender instead. You can see the result here: http://marianne-cards-n-stuff.blogspot.gr/2015/04/playing-with-colourless-blender.html. The result is different from what Kathy did, but I like it anyway. Isn’t it fun how Kathy motivates us to try new things?!

Thanks so much for doing this Kathy. I found it very therapeutic. You can be sure I’ll be ready ( with my own basket filled!) on June 1st. In the meantime I will refresh my stash with a few fine line sharpie’s, etc. , as even though I can’t draw a stick man, I CAN doodle shapes. I am excited to try it and see what happens. Maybe between now and then I will even be able to start my Copic collection. I even plan to have some of my old favs. stamped off in various mediums ready for each day that I am too busy to sit down and think of something.
Again, your project were extremely inspiring and I look forward to the next challenge.

I really wanted to share what I did this past 30 days but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to do it even with the links you sent us, so frustrating. But I am excited to start the new challenge, the tough part is I spend so much money because your stuff is so Amazing that I always end up wanting to buy the stamp or die or inks or whatever, Kathy your a bad influence LOL.

    April 4, 2015 at 11:11 pm

I think I started on Day 14 so I am going to check on all the ones I missed. Today I finished a card that I made for my sister and my nephew and if I do say so myself, it came out beautiful! My mom had an appointment with her chiropractor. She goes once a week so I had seen all of his magazines from last week. I brought all my colored pencils, a clip board and 3 cards to color. I did 2 and part of the 3rd. Everyone knows they will get late Easter cards but they don’t mind or at least I don’t think they will mind. I’m not mailing the one to my sister and nephew as they will be up our house tomorrow. If I can send you a photo, I will.

Thank you for doing this! I had so much fun seeing all the fun things you did and found some new fun websites that I didn’t know even existed. I hope we keep getting e-mail’s from you! Keep on coloring everyone!

Forgot to mention that my mom’s chiropractor came out and asked if I was ready for Easter and I said “What do you think?” and I showed him the card I had just finished. He said it was beautiful. I’ve known this man for years and I think he has good taste! LOL
