Hero Arts Big Release 2010 Stamp officiala Blog Hop!!

Welcome to my part of the Hero Arts Blog hop. I’m so excited you stopped by, and I have some exciting new 2010 stamps to share with you!

“Thinking of You”

Thinking of You

CIMG1689

I love this doily stamp and I wanted to design this card with a  dramatic flower using this doily. I wanted to use lots of color  when I selected my Copics. After coloring I used my craft knife to cut the center “petals” and bent them up. I promise it was easy. Added some bling and cut and layered. For the background I used clear embossing powder on the same doily stamp for a hint of color and pattern.

Hero Arts: Circle Doily CG168, Essential Messages CL371
Paper is from PapertryInk  & Taylored Expressions
Copic colors: W-1,Y38,Y17,YR68, R05,E08,YR04,YR16,R37,G14, E47, BG49
Misc: Fancy Tags from Shapeabilities, clear embossing powder, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Memory Box jewel stickers in azalea pink.

“In Life…”

In Life...

CIMG1709

I  love any Hero Arts butterflies and these new butterfly antique engravings are no exception! To begin I stamped the clouds, then inked up the dandelion stamp. I was just dying to color the butterflies and I wish the picture showed the shading better. After cutting out the butterflies I applied Glossy Accents to each butterfly. Added texture to the background with some Cuttlebug dots embossing folder and I scored the teal strip with my Scor-pal.

Hero Arts: Dandelion Frame CG153, Antique Engravings Cl383, Essential Messages CL371, S5215 Clouds Background.
Copic colors: Red butterfly: Y17,Y38,RV29,YR04,R05,59
Greenish Butterfly :YG,06,BG15,BG49
Misc: Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & Summer Sky, Glossy Accents, Dots Embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

“Coffee or Tea”

 Coffee or Tea?

I just love this new clear set called What’s Perking. The very first thing that I did was pencil in the steam squiggles then very slowly stitched them with my machine turning the paper ever so slowly. Erase any leftover pencil marks. (It may take a few tries but the result is well worth it.) Now you are safe to stamp, masking one mug. I switched the handle on the left mug because it was in my visual space by cutting it off and adhering to the other side of the mug. I randomly picked some bright colors and really enjoyed coloring these adorable coffee and tea mugs.

Hero Arts:What’s Perking CL416
Copic colors:Y17, Y38, RV29,YR04, R05,R59, YG,06, BG15, BG49
Misc: Fancy Tags from Shapeabilities, Crystal Sticker gems, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
