My goodness I am so falling in love with these birds. And now tips for colouring them thank you so much. Just waiting for them to be in stock again, being in Australia always seem to get to the shop as the stock runs out but I know I will eventually get them. Love the whole idea of this 30 days colouring. Did mine today, hoping to share soon.

  82. Shelley says

    March 4, 2015 at 12:12 pm

I, too, love colouring. Just the process without a “big” destination lol. Some friends just don’t get it and wonder why I would do that without a “purpose”. Well, the purpose is to relax and enjoy and if I want to make a project at some point… great. Loved watching you colour back and forth. It’s done when it’s done right lol? Just wish I could see those colours you chose to play with even better. I enjoy your blog and while I may not post my pics, know that I try to make a point of colouring regularly if not every day, for the pure enjoyment and relaxation.

I don’t know how many completed cards I’ll end up with, but I like the idea of coloring a bit each day, even if it’s one image for 5 or 10 minutes. Eventually I should have a nice stack for future use, right?

Thanks for Day 1. Your videos are so clear and easy to understand. I love how you went around the outside of the birds to give them more definition from the background. And I love the use of the solution to add texture. Do you use just a small piece of towel to do this? Great job of coloring as usual. A super video….TFS

Your bird coloring was amazing – you make coloring with Copics look so easy. I’ve stayed away from them up to now, as didn’t feel I’d ever get the hang of using the different hues (shades?) or be able to blend well. May have to give some a try. Thanks so much for creating this challenge!! I’ve been coloring with Copics since 2009 but had stopped in October / November during the last months of my pregnancy (low mojo/ energy). Your challenge is perfect for me to practice practice practice! I’ve also enjoyed seeing everyone’s work on Instagram and finding new inspirational peeps to follow. Your birds are so awesome- the colors and blending are phenomenal!!

I added my day one project but I have to ask – am I supposed to come back and link each day when I post? I wasn’t sure ’cause I don’t do Instagram!

    • Kathy Racoosin says

      March 5, 2015 at 2:21 pm

Hi Lisa, If you want to share your work yes….you need to link. BUT, you don’t need to if that makes sense. It shouldn’t be stressful and you certainly don’t need to blog about it or anything. I will eventually get the cards to comment. Thanks for participating. 🙂

First…I LOVE your Timmy birds!! I watch, in awe, gals like you and Sandy and Kristina work your magic with copics. They are so expensive here in Canada -so it’s like a catch 22 I feel like unless I know what I am doing I shouldn’t even start into such an investment. I did think about taking the online Card Class (because they are AWESOME) but then with only a stash of twelve copic markers (I figured at one point I could be happy with just doing a flower here and there- the colors really didn’t jive and I gave up but loved my colorless blender and my grey!) I wondered what the use of taking the class would be without the markers. I’m thinking I should have taken the class and then I could have started building a set of markers.
I will play along with you though…I’ll just use what I have at hand, I JUST got the dove blender and was going to play with that today anyway. TFS your mad skillz with us!! 😀

I have three questions. 1. Do I enter the GIVEAWAY by linking my coloring to this post? My given comment doesn’t enter me in the GIVEAWAY, I assume. 2. How many coloring samples can I post each day? 3. I don’t have Copic Markers. Since you used Copic Markers on this video, are the entries on this day ONLY to be done with Copics?

    • Kathy Racoosin says

      March 10, 2015 at 5:12 pm

Let me answer you quickly. Enter by posting your projects on my blog where specified or on IG . (IG is easier for me)
Just post a few max if possible a day. You can “color” with anything thats fun for you. Thanks for your interest!

        Adding link to https://www.thedailymarker.com/2015/03/day-one-30-day-coloring-challenge-giveaway/.

I finally have enough markers to color something, without making everything the same color, so I put my first image up on flickr.com. However, I don’t even know if I did that right. haha I use to chuckle when my mom had issues using simple websites, and now I have trouble with the basics. Karma, am I right? hehe I will get it!!
