Giveaway – February Card Kit

1_316111_FS

Hello Friends, How is your weekend going?? I hope you are experiencing some sunshine in your part of the world today :). I have a little sunshine for you…..Simons February Card Kit is up for grabs. More info on the GIVEAWAY at the bottom of my post 🙂 This kit has those elements of surprise that I always talk about & that I love. Honestly I don’t know how Simon can keep these kits at such a great value for $24.95 a pop (for subscribers). Let’s get started with the THREE cards I created with the kit.

IMG_2194

I am always in LOVE the stamp set in the kits but, I decided to save some time by  not stamping and use the rubs ons included in the kit. Two sheets of easy fun!! To really make my card pop I cut apart the “Butterfly Drift” using the real vintage paper, plus a mix of the other papers in the kit….swoon. I have been wanting to use this die cut set called, “Bundle of Stitched Shapes” and wow are these die cuts a beautiful bundle of useful dies! I elongated the pink banner easily with the stitched die in the package.  The sentiment and the black band at the bottom are the rub ons.

IMG_2189

The star on one this card is from the “Bundle of  Stitched Shapes” that I used in the above card. The main feature on this card is the the “Village” along with the “Stitched Slopes” & the “Mini Hearts“. I love pulling out my dies and using them with patterned paper.

IMG_2192

This card is as simple and I am able and believe it or not it took me FOREVER! I think most crafters have a square punch to create a window card so I kept that in mind when creating this one. The arrow and sentiment are a rub on. This February Card Kit has a sheet of sticky back canvas & I will be doing a video with watercolors in my next post and so excited to share my technique with you. A big shout out to Simon for creating such beautiful card kits and FOR LETTING ME GIVE ONE AWAY TO YOU ALL.

GIVEAWAY: Leave me a comment and tell me if you like the #1, #2 or #3 card best. I will announce a winner on FEB 1st.

Kathy, hard choice as they are all beautiful. Got down to one and two to narrow it down then had to go with ‘first’ as I love anything butterfly. Love the butterfly die too, have been wanting for a long time. Everytime I see a card with this die I think ‘nows the time’ 🙂

  11. joy meadows says

    January 17, 2015 at 4:52 pm

#1 is my favorite, but I love each one for different reasons. This kit does have a lot of fun stuff in it for the price. You rocked these cards, Kathy!

  13. Adele says

    January 17, 2015 at 5:08 pm

Oh, I love all 3 of them for different reasons! Banners and butterflies, so pretty (and thank you — I’ve been wondering how people have been getting long stitched banners. I’ll have to play with the die); city scene is so creative, and the even the simple boxes are really cool with the angles of the patterned paper. If you’re gonna make me pick one, I guess the city scene is just so unique I’d have to call it my fave.

    • Kathy Racoosin says

The stitched banners are sooo awesome!! No pressure tho 🙂

I am so happy with the color and inovation in these cards. Simon says has been my go to place for card making supplies. I am ready to step up and buy the products to make these cards. Thanks so much for giving someone a chance at a kit.

I loved the second card, a good use of the dies. Stretching them further.

How could anyone make one choice on your February Card Kit. They are amazing. I know I am too late for the give away. I just saw these this morning and they all brightened my day. I will definitely be looking for this kit online. It will definitely help me pass the time away this cold winter – 18.5 inches of snow and -4 degrees.

I will also be following you as I love your style. Nothing frantic – it is all so serene, calming nothing so filled with junk you lose sight of what you are trying to accomplish.

    Great, Amazing.
