sweet stamp shop

Hello Friends, How are you? Feeling the holiday spirit yet?

Today I am featuring two cards with the adorable and fun stamps from The Sweet Stamp Shop on their blog today.…EXCITING! The owners are so adorable that I thought you might want to read their story here. I love seeing new stamp companies in this industry especially if they support product made in the states.

I bet you know lots of moms that wear many of these hats or your one of them. The thing is no matter how old your “kids” are you still wear several “hats” but, some of them do come off. The sweet hedgehog is from a different stamp set called, “Hedgehog Kiss “. The background is a die cut called, “Triangle Pattern” from Simon Says Stamp but, I put tape on the back for a more subtle look. Next time I color the mexican hat I will be adding fringe with pom poms!!  🙂

Dragons are always so fun to color and this one was no exception.  I wanted a quick and easy background to highlight the dragon. I taped the back of the circles die cut (from Simon) to keep them on my card base except for the large circle to use as a window. I extended the banner so the sentiment would fit on it … more on that below.

I wanted to give the dragon some extra wing power so I colored an extra set of wings. When I cut them out I cut some tabs so that I could glue the wings on the body easier.

I used a wet wipe to “erase” the end of the banner so I could extend it. A ruler was used to draw new lines then I cut the banner out and stamped the sentiment. Check out the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog here for more inspiration. If you scroll down on their blog you will see one of the new releases!! OMG awesome!! Thanks and more thanks for your visit today. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Kathy

That dragon is just the cutest dang thing and the extra wings were just what he needed. Like the way that you left the diecuts in place for a sort of embossed look.
