Just to explain

Hello Again, I have to pop in real quick to explain how I created these hot air balloons. I used the hot air balloon stamp from The Greeting Farm. Here  is there store but, I couldn’t find the stamp and I hope it’s still available. I made a card with it last summer and it’s one of my favorites stamps. Since my scanner isn’t working I used a projector to enlarge it in three different sizes.

I chose my colors according to the refills that I had available for my Copic markers. When coloring large areas it’s a good idea to think ahead so you don’t run out of ink. I have had this happen too many times. I added the faux stitching with a black gel pen and used back embroidery floss for the strings. I used to love to eat “Chicken in a Basket” crackers they are so yummy and I think of that when I look at the chicken….except mine have white dots. I was so scared to go up in this balloon and it was incredibly quiet being so high in the sky…yes I am very afraid of heights and having the fire above your head didn’t help!! Did you know before you take one of these rides you lay down in the basket on top of everyone then the balloon pops up once it fills with the hot air from the torch. It was a great experiece but, to dangerous for me to do again. Have a great week. Hugs,Kathy
