Blog Hop & Giveaway

chwhhop
Hello Friends, Welcome to Simon Says Stamp “Cold Hands, Warm Heart” Blog Hop!! If you want to start at the beginning of the hop or if you encounter a broken link click here. Today I have a quick video!! I wanted to share how I made my spinner card from a previous post but, with Simon’s NEW, FUN & EXCITING Ugly Sweater Collection. Soooo much fun!

IMG_0721

I used some flower soft to create a soft and woolie ugly sweater spinner card with two different sweaters on each side.

IMG_0723

With one spin this is the other side of my ugly sweater. To create the fun holiday light frame I used this stamp set. I hope you enjoy the video below 🙂

More sweaters… keep on scrolling  🙂

IMG_0732

Of course I wasn’t able to stop with a spinner card I had to color these  babies…three of them.

IMG_0736

I borrowed the lights from this fun snowman stamp set. The lights were also used to frame the circle cut out on my spinner card.

IMG_0734

All three colored sweater cards have a stencil “Festive Chevron” background with Simons mint ink and applied with a dauber. Peeping from the inside is the same stencil for some color on the inside of my cards.

Now how about the GIVEAWAY!! Simon will be giving away a grab bag Prize Pack to 1 commenter on each stop in blog hop.

(The giveaways for the prize pack will close at 1:00pm EST on Friday, October 10, 2014)  A complete winners list will be posted on the Simon blog on Friday October 10, 2014.

It just made that sweater looked like you had knitted it yourself. I also have to tell you that I love the fact that your desk in your video is in fact a working desk. lol… Mine always looks that way when I am making even the simplest of cards, so you have made my day by being true to the craft and showing us your work space. I think all of your ‘Ugly Sweater’ Cards are awesome. I think also think this whole release is over the top fantastic. Thanks for sharing. Hugs Lisa G

These sweater cards are super fun, Kathy. Also love your stencilled backgrounds. I tried oredering white flowersoft from a UK store once, but after waiting for many months for the product to come back in stock, they finally decided to give me a refund instead. 😉
That means I still don’t have any flowersoft.

You made the best-looking ugly sweaters I think I’ve seen! 🙂 Love the flocking you did on the spinner card–really neat touch. And the coloring on the others is wonderful. I was surprised when I saw you used water-based markers. I would have sworn you’d used Copics or something. Tfs!
