altering a bird

Hello Friends, How are you today? Are you having a thaw in your neck of the woods? This Saturday the temps might reach 72! I call that Global Warming!

Anyway…I have two fun mini cards to share today.
What’s special about this Lawn Fawn set is that you can use it all year plus I’m a sucker for anything with a bird.
These birds make me happy and I wanted them to really make a big appearance on my card so I gave them some legs…. two sizes of legs by cutting some scrap paper & glueing the legs to the back of the bird. I stamped the leaf boarder in green & highlighted the leaves with a blue marker. The little berries were created with this versatile stamp set called, “Lots of Dots”
The “Thanks” die is fun to cut from some fun patterned paper like the Lawn Fawn 6×6 paper pack. Love how their paper has some solid papers to mix with the beautiful mini prints.

Stay tuned because my next post I will be giving away Simon Says Stamp Jan 2014 Card Kit. Thanks for your visit today and as the holiday is almost is here I hope you take a deep breath and enjoy the season instead of feeling any stress. Hugs, Kathy
