You make me smile :)

Hello Friends, How are you all? I took several days off from blogging & creating because I went to Vegas to celebrate a friends 50th B.D. It was fun & great to be with a group of fun gals but, I was happy to get back home. Vegas is so crowed with either tourists or scantly clad ladies that it was somewhat disturbing to me. We saw “The Beetles, Love”. Here you can see the trailer. The costumes and props had me mesmerized and so inspired. As you might imagine it was awesome!!

With that said I am late to post my card for Simon Says Challenge Blog’s newest challenge…. sorry about that.
You make me smile
To create this card I used the new Spellbinders called “Wonky Rectangles” and I have another card on the drawing board with this “die”. It’s one of my fast favorites. To create the frame you just load up your cutting machine with two of the dies and roll it through your machine. I like to use the walnut distress ink to give it some more dimension once the wonky triangle is cut out. For this application a dauber will make the job much easier. ( I use one for each color) here is a tip how I have organized mine if you are interested in that sort of thing 🙂

I don’t use patterned paper that much but, when I find some as beautiful as this Basic Grey paper it’s a keeper. I colored this beautiful image“Pansy Bunny” with the Copics listed below. This sentiment works with any image and I find myself reaching for it a lot. Take a close look at the white lines in the leaves. Some house plants have these white lines so I decided to add them to my leaves with the only gel pen that works consistently!  When I was finished coloring I used a dab of Glossy Accents (w/ the NEW small bottle) and mixed some ultra fine flower soft in brown and orange. This ribbon has the perfect size of the dots than any other ribbon I have seen. Here is another card I created with that same ribbon. If you are wondering where I got this bright yellow button here you go..I was so happy when I found them. I did use some walnut distress ink in several areas on my card. Let me know if you have any questions and Thank YOU for coming by my blog again. Hugs, Kathy

The expression on that bunnies face just made me chuckle – brilliant & I love your leaves, reminding me of ivy & Begonias, but that I think has to be a Begonia pot.

Wonderful card! I love how you created your frame for your card. I also love that you paper-pieced the pot and put ribbon, twine and a button around it, it de-emphasizes how large the pot is. Your coloring is really pretty, you made the bunny look really cute. Thank you for sharing.
