how about a card sketch?

Hello Friends, This week Penny Black brings you a card sketch to get your mojo going. Today my card is being featured on the blog.

Congratulations
When I saw the sketch I designed this card and ended up replacing it with today’s butterfly card instead for the blog. I have been itching to use these beautiful butterflies dies from Spellbinders called, ” Wonderful Wings”  They are worth every penny & as I like to say a great bang for your buck!! I can’t wait to play more with them.  I started my card by die cutting the butterflies on white paper and “Labels One” from kraft paper.

Let yourself have some fun by playing around with the distress inks. Each butterfly was inked with a bright color on the edges and then some of the new “Twig” as a final inking.  Stamp the labels and butterflies with distress ink too. Layer, Pop and add gems. All the inks I used and stamps are below. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a good day 🙂 Hugs, Kathy

I love the way you have stamped the butterfly bodies & used the two different stamps for that whilst alternating their pattern placement – the interest within this “little” piece of artwork is so detailed/ The stitching is beautifully effective & I love how you have used two different browns. The fact that your butterfly wings extend beyond the smaller Majestic Composition mats is very effective & I do like your attention to detail with not only your placement of the pattern in relation to the butterfly wings but using the same part of the Majestic stamp for each of the 4 elements.
