Create: Blog and Knife Rests

Hello Friends, Happy Monday to you. I have been wanting to share my knife rests with you for awhile now. Today I thought would be appropriate because the “Create:” blog is sharing how I like to use antiques in my studio.
Knife rests can be used to support your favorite cards, quotes, dinner menu’s etc. Look in your local antique stores or  thrift stores and on line too.
You will find that when you entertain your friends or family that these will give your table that little something extra.
There were only two in this particular set… but,  I had to add them to my collection because the price was right.
You will find that these work wonderful in your scrap space and into your table settings. Stop by later in the week to see how I incorporated knife rests into my “Tablescapes” Thanks for your visit and a big thanks to the “Create:” blog for featuring my studio.
Have a great day! Hugs, Kathy

And it IS a fab collection of knife rests too – what a shame the use of them seems to have fallen mostly by the wayside.

Kathy: I have only used my rest for their intended use and that normally only occurs during the holidays (i.e. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.). I going to pull them out today and make use of them throughout the year. THANKS!

I haven’t seen knife rests in a long time but these are very special indeed. I particularly like your crystal/glass ones. It was a delight to revisit your crafting space on the “Create” blog.
