Crafty Hugs Blog Hop & Giveaway – Simon Says Stamp

With this awesome release I created  two cards. One super simple and the other one … well  that  took some time but, doesn’t all coloring?

I was super excited to ink up this stamp set called, “Crafty Bunnies” and I was happy to take the time to mask of these fun little elements that are in this stamp set.

Little scenes are so fun to create and this new stencil called, “Geo Leaves” was perfect for that wall paper look or for a simple card. Super easy to ink up with some distress oxide inks. Once the background was finished I used some post it notes to create a line of color on the bottom of my card panel to resemble a rug.

The sentiment was stamped on heavy weight vellum and the ends trimmed to create a  banner.

Coloring the Crafty Bunnies with marker first, adding some texture with the Copic Blending solution and some dots with my markers as seen on the top of this photo. On the bottom part of the photo … you can see the difference where I added pencil and some outlining. These techniques I do all the time and is one my favorite techniques I covered  in my OCC class.

Coloring twine with a marker is easy and is a fun way to add finishing touch on a one layer card.

The Geo Leaves stencil still had ink on it from my previous card so I decided to make a quick card and that was a treat! The Hexagon Greetings is an awesome stamp set other great sentiments too. You can find the coordinating die cut here.

I  have been stocking up on stencils because I love what you can do with them. This particular one I love because of the random pattern. The blank spaces are refreshing.

For a different look I decided to place the popped hexagon off center tucking a banner under it for added  interest. So quick, easy and fun.
