Hidden Message with Concord & 9th NEW stamp

Hello Friends!! Happy weekend to you! Summer is winding up and hopefully the heat and humidity go away soon. Today Concord & 9th has another beautiful new release. I was lucky to get this awesome stamp and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed painting “The Vintage Artichoke” stamp set.

It’s easy for me to wait to complete the card because I am a procrastinator by nature but, I pushed myself to keep it simple.

When I was cutting the simple flag the thought came to me to put the second part of the message under the flag. The flag tucks under the die cut to reveal the hidden message. So fun!

This is the paper that I use for all of my watercoloring. You can take the pad to Fed Ex and they will cut if for you. (for example, In half or quarters)

I wanted to share this even though every time I upload this photo the orientation changes. This is a new palette from Understand Blue, Lydia. I only used two colors plus a deep navy pencil to finish it off.

The media mat really is fantastic. My favorite part is the low relief on the squares and it’s great how your paper stays put! If you are curious about the appearance of my mat I don’t wash or clean it … just a rinse now and then.

Love how the die cut flips the tips of the artichoke. On another note have a lovely weekend! Hugs, Kathy

This is BEAUTIFUL,Kathy! 😉 I too LOVE my Water Media Mat! Mine doesn’t look like yours, but that’s alright. I have to clean mine up for storage each time. I kept the packaging to keep it in to protect it. Limited space does that. LOL

That is the most perfect artichoke I’ve ever seen. I’m amazed that you know how to do whimsy, ethereal, funny, and realism with your art. Not to mention your wonderful way with color.

It’s such a realistic coloured artichoke Kathy, stunning colouring as always. I love the hidden message and great that the die cut flips the tips of the artichoke. The last photo shows that very welll, it’s just like their is a artichoke on top of the paper.
Thank you so much for sharing your awesome inspiration and have a great Sunday!
