Day 9. When You Mess Up Keep On Going

Hello Friends, TGIF to you! Quick question … If you subscribe to my posts …are you getting my posts in your inbox Daily?
You should be getting that email everyday.
I have a feeling you aren’t and that’s so frustrating cause I’m work hard to post daily during the challenge. Arg! (When the email lands in your inbox keep scrolling down and it should show the day that might be missed) Sorry!

Ok on a more fun note… I’m in love with this little scene stealer from Waffle Flower Crafts. It’s such a fun stamp called, “Holiday Thanks” and there are lots of additions to create your own fun scene.
Keep in mind this is a fun set for Birthdays or anything really.

The background and bear was watercolored in a hotel room and today I finished the rest of the fun elements.

I need to start traveling with a light.  When I was watercoloring this the lighting was poor and I lost sight of the bear and started coloring the bear blue for the background. No problem … an easy fix.

When that happens don’t trash it keep on working with it. I added some dark brown and then black.

This still is a work in progress and I excited to give it some finishing touches.
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you can carve out some extra coloring time. See in soon! Hugs, Kathy

Oh how cute Kathy! I love coloring with watercolors, they are so forgiving!
I know what you mean with travelling with a light. I found one in IKEA that is skinny and bendable that works for me. I will take a picture and DM you in Instagram.
    Xoxo Olga

I get your posts in my Feedly, but I read the previous comment and agree, your posts are probably delivered later than you think. You might be able to change a setting to deliver immediately or within a few hours. Not 100% sure on that.
Your card is fabulous. Thanks for encouraging us to forge on instead of trashing a card when a mistake has been made. You are very talented. Good luck finding a good light for when you are traveling. Happy weekend!

OH this is such wonderful advice – so often we are tempted to start over! I made a mistake on a flower once, coloring WAY out the lines and it was unsalvagable – so I cut out another flower colored image, popped it up on 3d foam and covered the boo-boo! It looks like it belonged there! 🙂

Hi – I am loving this but I notice you use watercolors that you obviously are buying by the pans. Can I ask what brand they are? I love all your postings! Thank you!

Oh I just love this! Love the bluish/purple background and the fun image! I’ve messed up quite a bit, and unless it’s bad enough to toss, I try to salvage it and push on….great advise!

Gee, if I was to start over every time I goofed, I would never get anything done! lol I was lucky and found a simple battery operated light that is bendable and easy to take with me that really helps me with all aspects of my crafting. Also, I am getting your emails first thing in the morning, but like a few others, I am on the west coast so that may have something to do with it.
Thanks for sharing your expertise! 🙂

Hi, No I am NOT getting your emails every day like I am used to during the Coloring challenge, bummer, just an f.y.i. just glad you are aware of it. I have been coloring, so need it to relax, life is extremely stressful but I keep forgetting to add the # daily,,, wow sometimes I don’t know where my head is, a few of them are on IG so I am wondering if I can go in there and add the hashtag after it has been posted for a few days? I am so NOT good on IG it’s a learning process for me, if anyone knows how I could do that I sure would appreciate it, thanks a bunch, Happy coloring all and have a awesome coloring weekend everyone 🙂

There is so much going on in this card, don’t know where to look first. Love to see that you also are colouring wiht other mediums than your Copics.
I had also some trouble with a card, my background didn’t came out the way I thought it would. Didn’t throw it away but put a side for now. I have to think how I will resolve the problem and I don’t needed now.
I indeed missed the mail from day 7 & 8 with the gorgous wreath. But I saw it on the site and read it.
Thanks for today, have a great weekend and see/hear you tomorrow (or after the weekend)

I love getting your emailed posts every day … I did miss a few at the beginning of the month but they seem to be coming daily now!
This little scene is adorable! Thanks for your honest sharing that you make mistakes just like the rest of us … and love the fix. I also love your idea of travelling with some kind of lamp! I seem to be spending half my life away from home lately

Gorgeous Xmas scene, thank you for the fix advise as I do lots of oops as I make. Seem to go through phases of oops then no oops periods no matter how careful I feel I’m being. Is it just me crafty friends or are you like it too ?

I haven’t been getting any emails from you in a long time. I hadn’t heard a word about this color challenge until the day before it started??? An awesome save on the bear, of course if anyone could save it, it would be you. LOL I am not sure I could but I would do my best to do so.
As for the light, try a “head light” (similar to what a miner would wear). They are cheap and you can tilt it toward your work. They take 3 AAA batteries and the LED light is very bright. When we go to our cabin, I wear one to read with at night as we have no power there and your hands are free. (Granted, it isn’t pretty, but it works! haha) Just a thought.

Your ur watercoloring is beautiful as always! Love how you fixed the oops!

I got the email for this post, but the one titled Day 7 & 8 was at the bottom of this post. Never got it separately. FYI 🙂

I get your e-mail’s along with hundreds of others. Sometimes I don’t read them right away but I always get to them. I am so busy card making for Christmas & I started early! I wish I could make the same cards for everyone & not make a different one for each person, then it wouldn’t take me so long to make my cards. I just can’t do that! Aghhhh!
I love your bear! He’s so cute & colorful. I see what you did with your mistake and I love it! We all make mistakes but we all can’t fix them. You always seem to fix your mistakes though. You go girl!
