Altenew July 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello Friends! How are you today? I am super excited to be part of the Altenew July 2018 Stamp/Die Release Blog Hop! Woo Hoo and there are giveaways too. To start at the beginning of the hop go to the Altenew Card Blog & if you are coming from Lilith Eeckels blog you are in the right place.

For the hop I have a video and two bonus cards. Fasten your seat belt for this hop because this release is pretty awesome and I know the inspiration from everyone in the hop will be mind blowing!

To create my first card I used the this beautiful new stamp set called, “Beautiful Heart” and the “Leaf Frame Cover die” for some quiet impact on my background.

In my video I show you how easy it is to create two more sizes of the same flower so you can make a beautiful bouquet. This flower is a layering stamp so it’s super easy to get dimension without coloring but, I love to color PLUS  I like to show you another way to use the stamp set.

Here’s the close up of the leaf frame cover die oh my! Isn’t it luscious? I glued two layers of white fun foam & one layer of cardstock on the die cut.  Lucy’s sequins are my favorite and I love the variety in each packet.

These are the extra two smaller flowers created from the large flower in the stamp set. To form the bouquet I cut paper strips for my stems, colored some twine and arranged them into a bouquet.

For my second card I wanted to use the beautiful leaf cover die again and this stunner of a flower. L.O.V.E.! It’s called, “Needlework Motif” and love everything about it. I decided to keep the sentiment off because its faster and I need more blank cards. Win win!

Two layers of black fun foam gave the die cut lots of dimension and drama to this flower. It’s so fun to add details … I added little eyelash lines and prickers on the stems and leaves and white gel pen accents. Twine was colored and added for an extra pop on the coordinating die cut.

For my bonus card I was going for a very simple card using the “Circle Embroidery Hoop die” for a little extra touch. I think this die would be great for shaped cards or using felt. The flower is from the “Needlework Motif” stamp set and this is the die cut. The textured background was created with copic blending solution and a rag.

GIVEAWAY!  Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook Blog by Thursday, July 26th for a chance to win. 6 winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 7/29/2018.Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to visit today it’s always appreciated. Next on the hop is the exuberant and talented May Sukyong Park. Have a great weekend! Hugs, Kathy

Your coloring is stunning! I have got to learn how to color better and a good place to start is trying to duplicate your purple flowers in the first card. Wish me luck lol.

Kathy this is absolutely stunning, I love the flicking technique and I will definitely be giving this a go when I next use my alcohol markers and a floral image. The leaf die on the background is amazing and adding more than one giving dimension to the base of the card really does make the floral images ‘pop’ on the front. Thank you for sharing this with us crafters. :O)
