Day 28. No Line Coloring – Giveaway

Helllooooo Friends, Ack it’s Day 28 and depending on when you get this I might still be working on my post. If you look at my post in  your inbox click here later for an update and video. (These last few days I really am making a big effort to give you more … hence more time required) I know you all are patient so I am a grateful.

No Line coloring can be easy and I hope my video will prove that. If you subscribe to my videos you will get it in your video feed. Ok…whew! Now how about this stamp isn’t it a beauty …it’s from Gina K Designs called, “Sending Love” . I stamped the image with a pastel ink and then colored the background with a copic marker B97.

The most important thing I have discovered is a sharp tip and to have an antique bowl for your shaving .. just kidding but, I do love mine.

During the last coloring challenge I colored these sweet stamps from Krumspring. I thought I would share again since I have a giveaway. She has such great stamps and is so inspiring.

GIVEAWAY! Woo Hoo a $25.oo gift certificate to the Krumspring Stamp Store. To quality just say hello in the comment area. A random winner will be announced a few days after the challenge.

Be back soon. Hugs, Kathy

I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the challenge!! I can’t tell you how much I look forward to your posts arriving in my email box Kathy, you are so inspiring and I have learned so much from you over all of these challenges. This card, as all of your work, is so beautiful. I’m headed up to visit my folks in Charlottesville next week and I’ve been telling my mom, who is just beginning to color, all about you and I can’t wait to show her some of the videos!!
Maybe in the next challenge, or just a regular blog post, would you do some more with the stamp and die set that you created a few years ago with the sweet little terrariums and succulents, and I think there might have been a gnome?

STUNNING WORK AGAIN, KATHY!!!! I LOOOOVE this! I was thinking as you colored this, that the flowers in the blue, look fairy-ish! And like they are in the moonlight! JUST GORGEOUS! You have inspired me to try new techniques this coloring challenge! And my husband & I like “realistic” art too. LOL So, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND what you are saying, AND YES, YOU ARE GREAT at what you do! 😉 I also wanted to tell you, I was so engrossed in watching you color, that I caught myself blowing away your coloring shavings. LOL That is what I do when coloring with Colored Pencils, rather than wiping them away. AND just one other thing, Faber Castell Colored Pencils- they are not only oil based- good for blending, but the leads are GLUED IN the length of the pencil, so you don’t end up with the leads breaking. 😉
CAN’T WAIT to see your water coloring video!!! 😉

ps: I love the no line coloring. I like the idea of coloring the background first. Sure it gives you a better idea on doing the flower colors against the background.

another ps: I posted my card that I did using copics and pencils on my blog yesterday.. Thanks for the inspiration.. I see now I should of done some sequins or Nuvo drops.. but it’s posted and done as is.. Would like any thoughts on it.. what I should of done?? I am ok any critique. I am fine taking positive criticism.. thank you.

Sometimes when I spend a lot of time coloring, I’m frustrated and heartbroken if I mess up the background. It makes sense that when you are trying a new background technique, start with that first! If you mess up, no harm done because you haven’t ruined hours of work! Thanks again for all you do!

    Hello again, Kathy!

I have already commented on this gorgeous card but I just found time today (Day 30) to watch it. Well worth it! You share your tips and tricks, I love that you repeat them over and over. For you, you don’t even have to think to color the nooks, outline the images in a dark color, eyelashes places at times, you know what I’m talking about! Well, it’seems a lot to take in and remember for me. I am grateful you do this. The more you hear, see and do something, the better the chance to remember it!

This card is STUNNING! I love the background, and every inch of these beautiful flowers and greenery! I keep working with my pencils and I will continue to do so!

I did not get a chance to post anything to share this time around. Next time!

Kathy, thank you for your very giving and caring heart! When i say giving– I’m not even referring to the awesome give-aways you share. I’m talking about sharing your talent, your time, your stories…you! Thank you for being such an inspiration to us!
