Day 19. Succulent love

challenge_graphic-nov16_16x24

Happy weekend!! Whew what a crazy week. How was your week? I see many of you are taking time out to color and that makes me so happy.

img_2137

Mommy Lhey stamps are so whimsical and so fun … plus they just make you smile. Love this stamp set called, ” Pokey Face” … see …. even the names make you smile.

img_2138

I have to be transparent or rather I want to be. I colored this when I was at the retreat in case I needed an emergency coloring post. Well that’s today…. this post goes live in 10 minutes lol.

I have been doing my coloring in the fridge for my daughter filling it with fruits and veggies. (it was fridge makeover…it doesn’t look like this normally). I made lentil soup with sweet potatoes and a egg dish with roasted broccoli, cauliflower, mushroom and a little cheese.  (sorry no recipe I made them up but, hope to get them on paper and if I do I will happily share)

Have a happy day and see you tomorrow for my “It’s All About You Feature”.

There were so many giveaways all week so if you missed a few you might want to poke around. See you soon! Hugs, Kathy

P.S. There are now 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend  FaceBook or Instagram. Be sure to tag me and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.

The 3rd way is to link up to my blog to share your coloring. Click here .. You will find the Inlinkz button at the bottom of the post.

P.S.S.  If you’re new to the coloring challenge or have any questions about the coloring challenge you can refer to this post.

These are totally fun stamps! And an amazing depth of coloring. Now, go enjoy your family time. Weren’t you the one who always says, ‘you don’t have to do a whole card, just color, even if its only a few minutes a day. Have a great day. Mmmmmm…roasted veggies ! :-))

Such a fun card. Last week has been crazy. I have not been colouring, but I did manage to stamp quite a few cards for the Caring Hearts Drive and sent them off to the UK, and I did my first plaid stamping. So I guess I did manage a little ‘me’ time after all.

Your “ME” time sending cards and trying the plaid card is super. 🙂

Pokey Face? Oh my gosh…giggling over that and delighting over your trio of cacti! Talk about precious expressions! Yes, I can relate to the ‘what a week’scenario, too. We’re tucked into a vacation rental, awaiting tomorrow’s celebration of husband’s sister’s life. I’m planning to do some colouring….brought a mini mobile crafting unit! Thank you for the smiles today!

Hi Kathy, love that you’re transparent about the coloring (as you are about things that didn’t work in your videos)! It’s great that the coloring challenge isn’t about getting stressed trying to reach daily goals, but about de-stressing. And if I’m honest, there couldn’t have been a better month to do this… With everything going on here this month – illnesses, accidents, arguments, and ugly weather on top – I think I’d have gone crazy if I hadn’t carved out the time to do some coloring every day 😉
I wish you a wonderful time with your daughter and a stress free weekend <3

Sorry to here about your trying month. I’m gald I could bring you some relief. The important lesson is “ME” time helps. 🙂

I really have to work on my shading and highlighting, and study your images for lots of tips and hints. I got to do a tiny bit of coloring this week, but also put aside time to gather up coloring supplies to take for our Thanksgiving visit to see my brother, s-i-l and 9-year old niece who’s excited we’ll be doing some coloring while she stays with us. Your finishing line to “poke” around some was a perfect ending for your cactus post.

Kathy you are like Super Woman… the fridge looks good and full of healthy food AND an emergency card on hand for such a day! (Beautifully coloured, of course!) Martha would be proud! LOL

    November 19, 2016 at 10:59 pm

Wow! Your coloring shows completely different looks on different stamps. I like the shadows and deep colors on this adorable whimsical card!

I’m glad you had some treasure time with family and food today! I don’t know how old your daughter is, but it is a great way to reinforce math skills by letting them measure amounts of ingredients…even if you don’t need it measured! And, it is a great time for good talks while you are busy. It’seems a nice tradition to have in place BEFORE they are teenagers!

Good for you for using a card you coloured at the treat – some days it is just not possible however much you want to. And you are the first one to say that we can dip in and out, so you must find ways of helping you manage it too. It’s a lovely card, and such a super cute set! have a wonderful time with your daughter, hugs xx
