nautical with a spin and a giveaway

Hello Friends, Welcome back! How are you today? A few weeks ago Simon Says Stamp asked me to create some nautical themed cards. Fortunately, for me a few clothing catalogs arrived at my door and served me well for some inspiration. Everything nautical was pretty much red, white and blue and anchors etc. I thought I would switch it up and create a nautical themed butterfly.

I cut several strips of paper and glued them to a card base. Loved the look and feel of creating my own paper.
BUTTERFLY CARD SUPPLIES:

This is sneak peek #1 .When you click on the Simon blog you will see how I created these “white caps” or the froth of the waves.

WHALE CARD SUPPLIES:

This is sneak peek # 2.
I stamped on top of the stripes with this stamp set from Kelly Purkey. Perfect for all of your nautical needs. I hope next time you think “nautical” you might think butterflies too?
NAUTICAL BUTTERFLY CARD SUPPLIES:

Hi Kathy! Hope you are having a great start to summer. I love your nautical cards. I think there is just a special place for Summer and Nautical, it reminds me of lazy vacation days at the beach or ocean. I grew up near a lake and my mom took us every day of summer, good memories. Thanks for a chance to win this fun star die.
