Day 14. Zig Markers Shaker Card

coloring-challenge-e1467756060209

Hello Friends, How was your weekend? Welcome to Day 14. Today I have a guest post on the Power Poppy blog for “Inspire Me Monday” I decided to shake things up and make a shaker card. You can see Power Poppy’s new release here. YaY!! I love it all 🙂

I inked up the beautiful new stamp set called, “Soothing Sympathy” to create my shaker card. I have a fairly short video on my process using some Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. The colors are so vibrant and bold plus I love the tips.

The sequin mix “Little Things from Lucy’s Cards” is sooo luscious.

I used some of Simons black dye ink on some of Tim Holt’z watercolor paper. I love that this particular paper is a bright white. Daily I say a little thank you to my mini misti for making stamping and masking much easier.

I glued two pieces of fun foam together then added acetate on top of my foam sandwich. I die cut the frame again from some white cardstock for my final layer. When the watercoloring is dry I will add the sequin mix on top and glue the frame with some glossy accents. Easy and fun. (I used these two dies to create shaker card. This one cuts the frame thick enough to use the foam easily and this to cut out the card shape.)

Thanks for your visit … I am always so grateful. Have a good start to your week. Hugs, Kathy

These words are comforting. The Lucy shaker mix is so pretty – I enjoy making shaker cards too! Well I told you I wanted to colour on kraft and guess what! I coloured on kraft today! Just linked it up! Thank you for your inspiration and encouraging words!

This is so beautiful and you made a shaker card! Everyone knows how to make a shaker card but me and now you have a video so I can make one too! I think shaker cards are amazing but I never knew how to make one. I mean, I think I can figure it out just by looking at the card and some of the things that are done but I want to get it just right and now I can. I can’t wait to watch the video! Again, it’s an amazing card!
You have to check out the things that were posted by me today. I finally finished a coloring page that has taken me forever to do! It’s so intricate! On Sat. my sister did a crafts fair on the green in northwest CT. We got their at 9 in the morning so I was there with my foot propped up coloring until 6 or 7. That’s when we closed up because there was a threat of rain. It ended at 5 but they had a parade so more people might buy something so we stayed open. I couldn’t believe that I finally finished it! It is amazing and I think the best thing I’ve done so far. If my nephew wants it for his walls in college (he’s going this year) I will frame it for him. I know he will love it!
