Layering Stamps, video & giveaway

bloghop_600_A

Hello friends! Today I’m sharing a fun way to use layering stamps with Hero Arts new Pineapple. This is part of a fun blog hop launching the release of their new Color Layering Products. How exciting!

IMG_3322

How could I resist take a photo with a pineapple with one of my cards.

Here’s the card set I created using different elements of the layering stamps.

IMG_0628 (1)

…and a video sharing the process…

I used the new Color Layering Pineapple Stamp Set and Die to create all of these different looks…

IMG_0632

Are you new to color color Layering? If you are … color layering uses the technique of stamping progressively, building color and detail, resulting in an elegant, dimensional look. The Hero Arts  inks were developed with a specific stamp set in mind, the packs offer wonderful and rich versatility; you’ll find they work well with most any set and often produce stunning and unexpected results.

IMG_0633

I love using the detail layer of the stamp to create backgrounds. On this particular one I but the bottom of the green part of the pineapple together twice (like bookends) to create a fun design. It’s amazing how much variety you can get using one stamp set! I also used one of their new fabulous ink cube packs which takes all the guess work out of Color Layering.

IMG_0630

Ah…the possibilities of patterns are endless especially combining the different inks.

IMG_0634

First stamp the top of the pineapple in the light green and then tap the brown ink on edges for more shading.

IMG_0629

What’s your favorite pattern? I think this particular one is mine.
