Make Something BIG Plus Special Pricing

Hello Friends, How are you? I hope healthy and free of anything Covid! (insert prayer hands) Are you counting down to the start of the next 30 Day Coloring Challenge? Only four more days!! It’s nice having an excuse to stop, drop and color lol.

Speaking of coloring I am super excited to show you what I have been painting for the past week. I was sharing some peeks in my stories on Instagram.

I am so in love with Colorado Craft Company’s  “Big & Bold Missing You Peony” is  soooo gorgeous and so big I LOVED painting it. To make the composition more interesting I stamped the “Big & Bold Blissful Butterflies” in the background and on the vase. I can’t wait to makes some shaped cards using the coordinating die cuts. Having mini shaped cards on hand is nice!

Colorado Craft Company is offering a “Kathy Rac Bundle pricing” where you save 10% with free shipping for the US and $5.00 flat rate for international orders! Yes Please!

In this video I am using the Karin markers to paint the yellow butterfly. If you want to watch in HD click here.

Why not stamp something big to work on for several days like this piece measuring in at 14×20 overall or go smaller like a 5×7 or something? No pressure just encouragement to go out of that comfort zone.

This is my favorite part of my craft room. Seeing the painting here gives you some perspective the scale of the painting? I did purchase a frame off of Amazon and let’s just say I won’t do that again & it’s true you get what you pay for.

To draw the vase I traced a plate and tapered the sides from the plate.

I posted this photo on Instagram lol I see that typo!

If you are designing something large having the Memory Making Misit is a big time saver. The Peony was stamped in Warm Glow ink . My Warm Glow needs to be re-inked so I grabbed the Skeleton Amalgam ink to stamp the butterflies and loved the color for critters. Warm Glow is perfect for the flower not Skeleton.

Sorry for the dark photo the stamping and some painting was happening at night! Starting with the outside petals first worked well then I moved on to the inside petals.

The flower was finished but, wasn’t quite right ….. sigh. I decided to go for it and take my own advice. Darken up those nooks & crannies with some grey and black using the Karin markers.

With that said I just have to mention this again because The Coloring Challenge Road Trip OnLine Edition with Online Card Classes is only  $15.oo until July 5th. The class includes 12+ lesson videos and PDFs with step-by-step written instructions that you can print out and take anywhere. Lifetime access! Ok nuf said .

When I painted the butterflies on the vase I wanted them to paint them to look different than the butterflies in the background. This was accomplished by coloring them butterflies mostly one color and dividing the wings with the blue background color.

The small “Butterfly Dreams” are from Kraftin Kimmie nice and small to perch the leaves.

See the small vines on the right? I moved my paper when I was stamping and messed but, I wasn’t going to start over so I went with it and painted them all.

Thank you for your visit today and it’s always appreciated. I will be back July 1st for the coloring challenge. Stay safe and healthy. Hugs, Kathy

Hi Ann, Sorry I missed that. I painted everything with Daniel Smith watercolors using one of Lydia’s splits. The butterflies I painted with the karin markers. :)https://www.thedailymarker.com/2018/12/watercolor-splits-great-gift-idea/
