Day 9.and 10. Leaving White

Hello My Friends! How are you? Saying healthy? Sorry I didn’t post yesterday I just needed a little break from that. I did color and shared that on Instagram … you will see it below. Thank you for understaning I know you guys always do and I am grateful!

The only time when coloring is frustrating is when you don’t have time to finish! Do some of you feel that way too?

This was my coloring for Day 9. Yesterday. I spent at least 2 hours on this way more than the recommended 10 minutes! After watercoloring this digi print from Power Poppy I had to add some lines and pencils. I ask myself why … after all it’s watercolor but, I just can’t stop myself!

I printed the digital stamp from Power Poppy called, “Dancing With Daffodils” on some regular printer paper. (I enlarged the digi stamp before printing)

If you put your watercolor paper on top of the print you can trace the image with a pencil onto your watercolor paper. It amazes me that you can do that on 110 lb paper but, it works beautifully when you hold it up to the window.

This after my watercoloring with three grey Karin markers. I will be honest I was skeptical that I was going to like this in the end but, I always follow through. You might notice pink in the background? Well that is because I didn’t rinse my brush well before starting so I had to go with it.

Once I played with the background I was satisfied and ready to move on and TO that fun part! Adding COLOR!

It’s a conscience effort to leave some white in random areas throughout the image. Stay tuned I am determined to finish this tomorrow.  See you then. Hugs, Kathy

Oh yes, it’s is sometimes frustrating that you can’t finish your work.
But now I am colouring a beautiful image and I’m almost finished and I’m a little scared that I will ruin it. Don’t ask why, don’t know but it is.
So I proceed carefully and hope that everything will be alright.

Your colouring is awesome, I so love the beautiful images designed by Marcella.
I can’t wait to see how gorgeous it is when it’s finished.
Thank you so much for sharing, happy colouring and see you tomorrow.

I may have been just a wee bit sceptical as well when you did the grey background… but as soon as you added colour to the image, it all started to make beautiful sense!

      March 23, 2020 at 2:55 pm

You just never know until you try it and see if it works!

You know, I watch you add stuff to your cards with a fine liner & I always say I am going to do that but I never do. I have to this time for sure. I love Power Poppy & my sister got me a beautiful stamp for Christmas that I have yet to try. It will look beautiful once I color it in.
I was so late with my Christmas cards last year that I decided to start really early this year, like now! I also want to color more in my new coloring books. Dollar General has great coloring books & the kind that Amazon charges an arm & a leg for but they charge 2-3 dollars for.
I love what you did with your flower. I love, love, love, love daffodils! They are so pretty! We used to have them at my house & they looked so pretty but the Mutant Ninja Squirrels got to them & they don’t come up anymore. That makes me so sad! I guess I will have to look at your pretty picture & remember that I once had them at my house.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Sorry to hear that your daffodils were damaged.
