Day 8. Underpinning with Markers

Hello Friends, I hope you are having a colorful weekend. For Day 8. I have a quick post for you.

Simon Says Stamp just had an awesome new release! I don’t know how they keep coming up with great stamps and dies etc. over and over! Bravo SSS.

When I first laid my eyes on this gnome stamp set called, “Spring Gnomes” I couldn’t wait to color one of these cuties!

In the class I taught at Online Card Classes for only $20.00 is packed with a ton of videos and you have lifetime access to the videos.  I took a deep dive in the class about how to finish an image. Adding a first layer of color … an underpinning with markers then adding pencil.

Enjoy your weekend and thank YOU for your visit. See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

P.S.  There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend Instagram or FaceBook . Be sure to tag me and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.

Your card is so sweet. I have the new Lost Coast Designs gnome stamps. They are also cute so maybe I will have a go at some of your colouring tips. The effect of the pencil layers is awesome. Can’t believe it’s day 8 already. I just don’t seem to be colouring this month. Must try harder. Hugz

I love this technique. I’ve use it with my Polychromos ever since I saw you do it. I don’t like the white gaps in coloured pencil colouring and this sorts it out. Thank you for continued inspiration Kathy!

Gnomes are really a big deal, aren’t they? I see them everywhere & now I see one here. I like yours. Gnomes are kinda cute & I like the colors you did with yours.
I too am amazed when Simon Says & other stamp companies come up with new stamps or images for each month or season. I don’t know how they do it but I am sure glad they do. Sometimes there are so many new images that I want them all & that’s bad! LOL
I made 2 new cards & I will post them. I have other things to color but I haven’t done them yet. I also made some treats yesterday. Potato chips, peanuts, pecans & melted PB & chocolate chips. They are no bake. Can I send you some?
