Hey Bestie and Love You More Blog Hop with Simon Says Stamp

Hello Friends! How are you? I am super excited to be part of the Simon Says Stamp “Hey Bestie and Love You ” blog hop today! My card was created with a stencil!! Yes a stencil. So much fun! To start at the beginning go to the Simon Says Stamp Blog  .

I created a video for you and for some reason I don’t think you can watch it on my blog anymore. Click here to watch it.

Love the Simon Says Stamp theme and I think there is such a need for “Hey Bestie” and “Love You More” stamps, dies and stencils. PLUS they are always in season!

My card was created with minimal supplies that I would bet you already have except for the new goodies lol.

If you are like me there are many people in your life that you admire and I was thrilled to see this  coordinating stamp and die cut. My banner says “I wanna be more” like you. The stamp set called, “Like You Words” has lots of great sentiments to go with the “like you” die cut.

I built up the “Like You” die cut with layers of grey cardstock and white fun foam. Some twine was colored with a marker and tied around the die cut. I do the twine wrap often and won’t stop lol.

Does this watercoloring look like I used more than one color? I think so and that’s why I love this ink so much plus I can see what I am coloring or painting because it’s dark enough to see what you are doing.

I inked up the Peony Bouquet stencil with some Warm Glow ink. Distress ink was what I used to water color the peony once the ink dried on this watercolor paper.

You can find more inspiration in the Hey Bestie and Love You More galleries on the Simon Says Stamp blog.  SO much inspiration!

Did you know that Simon has a free gift with purchase for the hop? Woo Hoo! Use the code BFF489 – please note that this die is free only with a purchase of $50 or more.

Great card Kathy! I love this concept of using a stencil to create a light image to colour over…it gives a whole new use to stencils for me!

Stunning design Kathy, would not have thought this started as a basic stencil, has given me an idea to try with one I have. Thank you for sharing your work x

Interesting idea to use the warm glow ink under the water coloring, creates a soft but gorgeous look

Kathy, as usual, great color selection and great coloring. Great new release from SSS, but the Peony Bouquet stencil is my favorite!

I LOVE your coloring of the flowers stencil and the 3 -D raised word die that matches and blends. Fantastic!

As always, Kathy, this is stunning! I would actually prefer that you leave the video as is. I’m still quite new to watercoloring and it would help to see how often rinse, add water etc. Yes, it’s looks more flowing, and that’s great if I was just wat, but to learn I would need it all.

That is crazy beautiful. You should’ve seen my jaw drop when I finally scrolled down and saw how you created the sweet spot. That’s amazing how the amalgam ink shows through. Love you and and all your tips. Just finished the OCC Roadtrip class with you and your entourage of incredible inspiration. Loved every minute of it. You are a wonderful distraction for me during a very difficult time.
