Day 3. OhGee-ode!

Hello Friends! How are you today? Today’s stamp, “Geode” is from Concord & 9th and it’s such an easy color PLUS it’s fantastic for those masculine cards that we have to create from time to time lol. I just noticed the die cut and promptly added it to my cart. I struggle with those masculine cards and this is a no brainer.

Simon Says Stamp is having a promotion. 15% off $75.00 or more with code TRICKY. Yes please!

We are lucky enough to have a little lake house that we have had for more than 18 years so … often we are away on the weekend. Fortunately, I rummaged up a paint brush so I could paint this geode. I have been wanting to color this stamp for a very long time.

The Geode was watercolored with one of Lydia’s splits . Thankfully I remembered to throw it in my little to go box.

Have you ever seen a geode that has crystals …. a fuzzy look in the center? In the short video I show you how I tried to duplicate that look. Let me tell you it was so satisfying. I had some Flower Soft Ultra Fine from ages ago and it worked like a charm. Naturally glitter would work lovely too.

One layer of glitter was the perfect accent and easy to apply with a glue that has a small nozzle or tip. I didn’t want to go overboard with the glitter.

On another note I have to say it again you all ROCK!

See you tomorrow. Hugs, Kathy

Your card looks like a real geode & that’s so cool! If you know me, I would have gone overboard with the glitter but then again, my mom would not have loved all that glitter everywhere! LOL It’s a beautiful card for sure. You always come up with something different, that’s for sure!
