Day 13. Design Your Own Petal

Hello Friends, How is your day going? Ack I am struggling to keep up with the challenge. I am leaving Thursday for a Road Trip and sooo much to do. Sorry if I am missing comments on my blog. I hope to read & catch up here when I get back.

It’s always rewarding to finish a project and I had such fun coloring this.

For this I drew a quick flower pot and turned the flowers right side up (rather upside down lol) to create a potted plant.

I love getting artsy and re-designing the petals on the flowers. Leaving lots of white and coloring circles or crescents on the tips of the petals is super easy and fun to add your own touches.

The flower on the right you can see is the first layer of color. This first layer of color was  completed when I was on the airplane. I used E50, RV11 and YR27. Yesterday I finished the bird and today the flowers. Yay! What do you think of the redesigned petals?

My hope is you will look at your floral stamps a little bit differently. Don’t be afraid to try something different. Just go for it!

That’s it for today. Wish me luck packing and excited to see some of you. Hugs, Kathy

P.S.  There are 3 ways to share what you are coloring. If you want to join a community of coloring enthusiasts I recommend Instagram or FaceBook . Be sure to tag me and use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. Kids & young adults use #thedailymarker30daykids.

I like your pot and I like adding stuff into my stamping projects too. Though I don’t find needing to adjust the flower petals as much as needing to add leaves. Maybe it’s just me and I like the fuller greener look.
