Hero Arts & Altenew Giveaway

Hellloooo Friends! How are you? Today is a special blog hop celebrating Hero Arts and their 45 years in business but, more importantly, CELEBRATING this awesome INDUSTRY!! Altewnew has joined forces with Hero Arts to design & release this gorgeous stamp set we are featuring today!!

If you are coming from the talented Jen Show’s blog you are in the right place. To start at the beginning of the hop go to the Hero Arts blog here. I was having a conversation with some ladies this weekend and I was saying that I feel like so many stamp companies were birthed from Hero Arts. Hero Arts has been around 45 years and I love and respect what they have done for this industry in so many ways. Hero Arts has brought so many stampers into this industry and I certainly am one of them. I also credit them with taking me on a path that has enriched my life!

This gigantic flower, Bloom & Grow is beyond gorgeous, and I love all of the beautiful mixed-font messages! Let me tell you it’s so much easier to paint or color an image that’s the right size. Nice large petals makes it easy to get a nice blend. You can purchase this beauty at Hero Arts or Altenew.

My flower was inked up with  some watercolor friendly ink to color on the road. I packed my stamped image and took it to Ohio with me for a girls retreat. I painted this beautiful flower with the Altenew watercolor palette. What I love about this palette is that it’s light weight, easy to transport & gorgeous colors!

I like to use my media mat to pick up the paints from my palette adding them to the wells in the media mat. I water the paint down so I can get more of a wash of color and not the concentrated color from my palette. You might notice that palette on the left? It’s and iridescent paint palette from Altenew that is coming out next week! Woo Hoo!

My goal was not to over use the iridescence paints so I didn’t overwhelm my flower. You can see the white shimmer only on the ends of the petals I hope.

Lots of white space for me is hard to accomplish and I decided to add some of Lucy’s sequins for a little extra bling.

GIVEWAY:

There will be 3 prizes, drawn from comments left across the blog hop:
– One winner will receive the stamp set!
– One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Altenew
– One winner will receive a $25 shopping spree at Hero Arts

You have until Sunday, October 27th to leave your comments, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the next week.

NEXT ON THE HOP is the oh so talented Laurie Willison . Thanks for your visit today and I am looking forward to the next 30 day coloring challenge hosted by me! See you soon! Hugs, Kathy
