Waffle Flower’s New Botanical!

Hello Friends! How are you? I hope my email finds you happy and feeling crafty! Do you all remember that my last post I was in AZ. I stopped by the Waffle Flower warehouse to see Nina and to meet some lovely ladies that were just finishing a class.

Later Nina filmed us showcasing the NEW Waffle Flower release. It was soo fun but, I can’t finish watching myself lol. Nina also filmed me painting this beautiful Bouquet Builder 5… Click here if you want to see the video.

Paper …. I have been told  that paper makes a huge difference especially for watercoloring. Painting the Bouquet Builder 5 I learned that is sooo true. I didn’t have the paper I love so I used Nina’s and it felt very porous and the water didn’t move as easily across the paper. This is the paper that I use for all of my watercoloring. You can take the pad to Fed Ex and they will cut if for you. (for example, In half or quarters)

After the video stopped rolling and when I got back to my Aunts house I finished my coloring. I added some pencil accents with the Chameleon pencils and yes they were nice and sharp. If I say “pencils” I have to add “sharp” ha ha.

The media mat really is fantastic. My favorite part is the low relief on the squares and it’s great how your paper stays put! If you are curious about the appearance of my mat I don’t wash or clean it … just a rinse now and then.

There are two ways to purchase this stamp. As a set or individually.

For the background I used the Wave Texture die cut with some distress ink. My focus was to keep most of the color at the top of my card panel for a gradient color.

*the panel didn’t cut deep because I didn’t have a proper sandwich if that makes any sense to you lol.

The very last thing I did was add white dots with this to the flowers centers and when dry I added a black dot with a sharpie.

That’s it for today. I miss seeing what you all are painting or coloring these days. Have a good week! Hugs, Kathy

This is such a stunning card Kathy, I didn’t had a mail in my mailbox but saw it on Instagram. I love the colouring, the stamp set is also great. Flowers are my first pick when I colour. Thank you so much for sharing this stunning card.
