Day 29. Avery Elle & FIVE Giveaways

Helloooo Friends, How is the start to your weekend been so far? It’s been a busy week … the last week of the coloring challenge always is. I try so hard to use all the companies that I love and this last week with giveaways will keep me spinning after the 30 day coloring challenge is over. Don’t get me wrong I love having stuff to giveaway but, the honest truth is it costs me lots to ship & it’s work but, well worth the time spent! Just a small way to show my gratitude to you all.

This is such a cool stamp from Avery Elle called, “Modern Floral Frame” It’s one of those stamps that can be a quick color or you can take it a step further … like I like to do. I am a lot happier when I get to take my time coloring & actually finish in a day. That normally doesn’t happen for me. You think it would for an empty nester lol.

Ok so I have NOT harped to much on the “nooks and crannies” for this particular challenge … I just haven’t had to much time to do that. This photo really illustrates what a difference that can make. Can you see the black in the little nooks & crannies with a fine time sharpie. I also added pencil details which  enhances my watercoloring with some Tombow markers.

I should add that I used Gina K. Designs light grey ink called Whisper …. love  the color of Warm Glow (that’s the one I usually use). You can’t go wrong with any  of the amalgam inks. I particularly love them because I can ink them up for my markers or watercolors. Win win!

    I just want you to know that even though I can’t color like you, I am totally understanding your techniques. Before I read your blog, I knew you went in with black on the flowers.     I too can HARDLY BELIEVE the 30 Day Coloring Challenge is at the end! LOL It went SO FAST!!! But, I HAVE TO TELL YOU Kathy, the image you used today is STUNNING! It makes me think of a diamond with a cluster of flowers! I LOOOVE the colors you chose too & added those Fine Tip Sharpies to my cart over on SSS! 😉 It looks like a NICE way to add JUST A TOUCH of black without over powering the image!     I am going to have to try using a sharpie for the nooks and crannies. It really makes the image POP more. I love this challenge so much even if I have only participated in it for a couple days (touring Ireland really put a cramp in my ability to participate-barely had room for clothes let alone pencils!)     Wow, this is such a cool looking stamp, your coloring alway astounds me…I tried the nooks and crannies LOL and it does make a big difference..I’m not very consistent though but I guess that will come with time. sorry I am a day or two behind on blog posts LOL but I’m catching up! I just wanted to thank you, you have helped me a great deal with my coloring …the last 30 challenge was my first and I learned a lot then too but you gave me the confidence to keep trying and to mix my mediums…I seem to do so much better with Alcohol marker and colored pencils…more control I think! Anyway, thank you!

    Oh my gosh, this card is beautiful & one I could so totally use a lot! I might have to check this one out! I have a little money I can spend right now & I like a stamp that I can use for lots of things. I think you could even use this for Christmas if you use Christmas colors & put Christmas glitter on it & put Merry Christmas in the middle. I love it! At Easter you could put an Easter greeting in there. I am coming up with so many things!
