Day 5. Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello Friends, How are you today? Feeling relaxed from all the coloring lol? It’s Day 5. and I am delighted to be part of the Waffle Flower Blog Hop. Wait until you see these stamps!! OMG!

If you are stumbling onto my blog and are wondering what The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge is or if you have any questions about the coloring challenge you can refer to this post . If you are more visual person here is a video. To see DAY 1 of the coloring challenge click here. If you want more info on The Coloring Challenge Road Trip click here.

I managed to create three cards that were watercolored with Tim Holtz distress ink. Each card was stamped with this ink. (for best results let the ink dry or use a heat gun) The paper was Tim Holtz pre cut watercolor paper … I love how it’s bright white.

To start at the beginning of the hop click on the Waffle Flower Blog here. If you are arriving from my favorite person Jennifer McGuire’s blog you are in the right place. Woo hoo!

For this card I combined two of the new stamp sets called, “Spice Garden” and the “Little Painter” stamp set. The sweet little chick is part of the Little Painter set but, I was itching for him to peek out from one of the spice plants.

A slit was cut in the planter to poke the plant and sign into & glued in place.

Here is the coordinating die cut to the Spice Garden.

So relaxing to color this plant. When I was painting it I purposely left a white line down the center of the leaves.

I colored some twine with a marker, tied it and glued it down with some glossy accents.

Today I was out most of the day and I didn’t even want to think about doing something for a background so I literally swiped some paint on the paper without any fuss & then cut the paper. I added foam tape behind one panel and tucked it under the other panel on the front of the card. It was the perfect quick background with interest.

My plan was to die cut the brushes from the “Little Painter” set …. then I decided why die cut them that this could be a cool one layer card?  The sentiment is from the Spice Garden set.

The twine was colored with a brown marker, tied and glued down for a little pop of dimension. Details were added on all my cards with a fine tip sharpie and a 0.03 marker(essential for every craft room). I now have a 0.03 marker in black, brown and grey.

My goal was to use a different green on each brush. Lots of people as me about this palette it’s wonderful to contain distress ink.
