12 Days, Video & Giveaway with Honey Bee

Hello, Friends!!! How are you this weekend?  I am super excited and honored to play along with Honey Bee Stamps for the 12 Designers of Christmas. Today is Day 9 and it’s my turn. Such an honor and a pleasure.

For my post today I wanted to show you a fun way to combine the  Christmas stamp “Blah Humbunny”  for a Holiday card or for a non holiday card (without the sentiments) with this.

In my video today I show you how I masked off the Message in a Bottle with the Blah Humbunny and how using colored pencils can enhance your alcohol markers. I find it faster and easer to get shaded areas by coloring with markers first and then adding accents with colored pencils.

If you are a colored pencil person … starting with markers and laying down that first layer of color you can save yourself some a lot of time.

I thought it might me interesting to see what my coloring looked like before I enhanced it with my pencils .

In case you are wondering I used my Chameleon colored pencils. I drew eye brows with my 0.03 Copic maker. Speaking of Copics Simon Says Stamp is having a 25%OFF!! Use Code Copic Sale!! If you don’t have the super fine tip marker now is the time to get it. It’s a must have and the only way to add little eye brows and eye lashes.

I added a final touch with a twine bow for some dimension.( the twine is back in stock!) .
Thank you for your visit today and a big thanks to Honey Bee stamps for letting me play with their awesome stamps especially during the 12 Days. Happy weekend to you! Hugs, Kathy

Those bunnies are so darling and the bottle looks so real. I love seeing the bunnies come to life. Your attention to detail is awesome. The eye brows and little squish of skin from the hand on the face. Bringing the darkness around the body so it looks like they don’t blend into the bottle. I love your creative work. You’re awesome.. Merry Christmas.
