More Color Smashing & Video

Hello Friends! How are you today? How has your fall or spring been depending on your neck of the woods.
Today I am up on the Stamping Bella blog with a semi fall-ish card. OMG have you seen their holiday release? It will knock your socks off. These are three of my top ten favorites!

I have a few tips to share with you today. For example, what to do if you get ink on your stamped image … do you stamp the image again? Not me …depends on what you are stamping tho lol. Watch the video in HD here and a thumbs up is always appreciated if you like it.   For my card I used this sweet little girl and an extra bucket of apples from this.  The background has a fall tree in it that I do love but, I decided to cut it off so I could save time NOT coloring that tree plus it’s great for anytime of year.

Today I was short on time to I cut this background down. The big smear on my misti should have been wiped off before I stamped this but, I thought it would be ok. If you choose to work with the mess up it can work to your benefit by stretching your creativity.

In my video I show you how I added texture to the dirt road. (yes yes that rag thing again with this solution lol) I like that the large ink spot determines where my images go and I don’t have to figure out the best place.

Sometimes it’s nice to just cut out an image. To make it easy to cut the scarf out I cut off the fringe. A pattern was added to her scarf and shimmer to the apples with this. I always enlarge the eyes and add eyelashes with this super fine tip 0.03 marker.

The stamp sets I was working with didn’t have any sentiments so I decided to make my own. I could have typed it on my computer, print it, & cut it out … but, I opted to go rouge lol. Using a black fine tip sharpie marker I drew my own talk bubble and wrote inside it. Super easy and speedy!
Thanks for your visit today and have a lovely weekend! Hugs, Kathy

OMG don’t even talk about Stamping Bella. I don’t think they’ve come out with anything I don’t like!! Love love, but hurts the pocketbook! :). Your idea is so great. Thanks for showing your smudge and how to handle it. That can be so frustrating. I like that you added your own bubble and sentiment! It’s hard to be that brave :). Very beautiful fall card. I think fall has passed me by. We’ve have snow a few days now.

That’s one of my favorite things about you, Kathy, is that you leave the mistakes and show how to work around them. So much more realistic than watching perfection that only makes us “regular” people feel inept, LOL! Great card and I love that cute sentiment. Kudos to you for doing your own!

I love what you did with your oops. I can also see how you could do that, just add something to cover up the ink. When I’ve done something like that, it’s usually with a sentiment or some kind of words. I put what I think is enough ink on the sentiment and then it doesn’t look like enough and I add a little more. Now when I print it, it smudges sometimes and you can’t always read it. How do I fix that? I don’t know. Sometimes I have to put another piece of card stock over the oops and try to get it right again. I hate when that happens.
I love Stamping Bella and I’ve just made a purchase from them. Stamping Bella, like all other stamping companies, keep coming up with these amazing stamps that I just have to have but I don’t keep coming up with the money to be able to afford them! Anybody with money want to adopt me? I’ll give you free cards for the money to be able to buy the stamps I want! LOL
Thanks for showing us your card, your oops and how you fixed it. When is the next coloring challenge? I can’t wait!
When are you coming to CT? I can’t find when you are going to be here and I hope I didn’t miss it. I want to meet you so badly!
